Full on late 14th century diamond core fully tooled with custom made brasswork.
A lot of my work is 12-early 14th century, so there’s not a lot of evidence that scabbard’s were tooled in that period (though they may have been painted) so I tend to avoid tooling, unless asked.
From the late 14th to 15th century, it’s much more likely that scabbards could be tooled, though nowhere near as often as we see them in the reenactment world.
So, it was lovely to have the opportunity to go full on with this one, as well as the chance to work on my brasswork.

Well that went quickly!
A year since I left Netflix, after spending Season 4 and Season 5 working as Armoury in-house leatherman!
I worked on Seasons 2 and 3 and the Lark prequel as a freelance, while also doing a full time job…talk about burning the candle at both ends!!
A great experience with some top chaps, but can’t believe it’s been a year already!

This one’s for sale: £300 plus post.
Made for another lovely Heron, but, due to advanced age, I forgot the chap was left handed, so rather than rip it apart, I’m rebuilding it from scratch, so this one’s spare.
Will fit 47mm at hilt, 20mm at tip with a length of 765mm and 3mm thickness.
Dark brown with period brass chape, this style is suitable for 12-14th Century (and late 11th at a pinch)
If nobody wants it, it’ll go to stock for ARM market, which is creeping up on me 😬

Another Diamond section in Navy Blue with matching belts.
All the brasswork on this is bespoke to Buffy: my own buckles and chape.
Currently working on getting a full 15th century suspension set designed and cast, since my preferred supplier is dropping out of the market. Hopefully have some ready for ARM in November.
