One of those lovely surprises you discover while travelling!

A wonderful roadside café-restaurant beautifully decorated in a cosy rustic style, with a warm, welcoming atmosphere.

We enjoyed a traditional borscht and herring under coat — both incredibly fresh, full of flavour and served in generous portions.

Five stars for the food, service, atmosphere and facilities. Definitely worth stopping for!

Taking the scenic route home. 🚗🍂

Driving from London towards Ukraine, with a few beautiful stops along the way.

Across the Channel, time with family in Belgium, and a night at Villa Thérèsa in Soignies—a wonderful old house that felt like staying with relatives. Then on to Monschau, with its half-timbered houses, flowers spilling from windows and little cafés beside the river.

Dettelbach at dusk and the cobbled streets of Mainbernheim gave us more reasons to stop and wander.

I keep noticing the details: old wooden doors, worn stone, beautiful furniture and sunlight falling across a dining table. So much inspiration in places that have grown into themselves over generations.

Still heading east, with plenty more road ahead. 🇺🇦

The sea and the sun

For this concept, I wanted to create a comfortable family room that also makes space for guests. The layout starts with an open invitation to sit down, with the seating facing into the room and clear views towards the windows, television and fireplace.

A generous corner sofa anchors the space. An armchair creates another place to settle, while small ottomans can join the conversation when friends come over or a family game gets going. Side tables keep a drink or book close by.

At the back, freestanding bookcases provide storage, with room beside them for a small console, a lamp and personal artwork. Off-white linen curtains soften the windows, and greenery brings a little of the outdoors inside.

Olive, cognac and warm neutrals connect the room, with layered textures making it feel relaxed and lived in.

The aim is a room that welcomes people in and works beautifully for the way you spend time together.

These floral arrangements we created recently for the Town Hall bring together soft blush pinks, creamy whites, touches of blue and abundant greenery. Cascading flowers soften the tall urns, while the mirrors catch the colours and carry them through the room.

I love how flowers can change the feeling of a space—bringing warmth and softness while allowing its original character to shine. A lovely setting for promises, happy tears and new beginnings.
