Welcoming to The Tribe!

‘Naked Beans is my passion project, a quiet rebellion against the chaos of fast fashion. It was born from a love of nature, creativity and a desire to return to a slower, more intentional way of living.

I use my craft as a way to give a new lease of life to pre-loved or foraged treasures. My jewellery is crafted using recycled sterling silver or brass, combined with upcycled beads from disused jewellery or treasures found while foraging on the forest floor. My crochet handwarmers are made with recycled acrylic yarn — soft, cosy, and consciously created. I love creating with the flow of the seasons, drawing inspiration from the colours, textures and elements of each to feed my creativity and shape my designs.’

Meet The Artist- Ray
The Bloomin’ Clever Boxes appeal on a number of levels – they are beautiful, tactile, useful, fun and, because of the lift out internal trays and drawers, intriguing.
The Vanishing Castles are simply fun. With a flick of the wrist, an often boring block of wood is transformed instantaneously into something fantastical.
🏰 About the Artist:
‘In November 1996, during a stop-over in New York, Ray found a craft shop in New York called the Great American Woodworker. He popped into the store as a semi-professional woodturner (and retired teacher) but left many hours later, having become fascinated by a range of very unusual wooden boxes. Ray had an Epiphany in that shop on 7th Avenue and became Ray the Box Man on the Craft show circuit in England and Scotland.
A few years later, whilst visiting a craft show in Sydney, he discovered another fascinating and unusual wooden product - Vanishing Castles - an ancient Swiss wooden toy. He realised immediately that the castles could be cut on the same band saw he used to make his boxes and decided that the two products would complement each other perfectly.
