A home should feel calm, considered and deeply personal. Beautiful, yes, but always functional and easy to live in.

Because when a space truly reflects the people within it, it has the power to elevate everyday life.

A I - Thoughts on where interior design is heading 🤍
Luxury, for me, is rarely about adding more. It is about knowing what to edit, what to emphasise and how every proportion, texture and finish should work together.

This bedroom concept explores that balance through layered neutrals, tailored blue detailing, tactile fabrics and a simple architectural approach to the headboard. Every element has been considered to create something refined, inviting and quietly confident.
These visuals were created by me using AI, and it is becoming an exciting addition to the way I work with clients. Rather than waiting for a traditional render every time we want to explore an idea, I can now develop and communicate a design direction far more fluidly. We can test proportions, materials, styling, colourways, lighting and atmosphere early in the process, then refine the strongest direction before committing to the next stage. The technology is powerful, but the value still comes from knowing exactly what to ask for, what to change and, importantly, what not to change.

AI does not replace the designer’s eye or unique understanding of mixing eclectic styles that merge together seamlessly. It gives me another way to translate that vision and options for my clients. Designing custom furniture, joinery and lighting playing with different finishes and colour ways ✨

A little introduction behind the interiors…

I’m Anna Maria, an interior designer and the founder of Anna Maria Interiors.

Born and raised in London, with Spanish and Polish heritage, my design perspective has been shaped by a blend of cultures, architecture and art, alongside an appreciation for highly considered interiors and a truly personal luxury design service.

For over a decade, I’ve been creating beautifully considered luxury residential interiors shaped around my clients, their spaces and the way their daily routines and lifestyles genuinely work.

I believe the environments we surround ourselves with can shape how we feel, influencing our day-to-day health, wellbeing and happiness. The thoughtful use of personally sourced items, custom art, materials, texture, lighting and colour theory all contribute to the mood and atmosphere of a space, creating a home that not only looks beautiful but feels natural and effortlessly functional to live in.

My approach is personal and detail-led, combining timeless design with warmth, texture and understated luxury, while elevating each space with meaningful, eclectic pieces. I work closely with every client throughout the process, from initial spatial planning, bespoke layout redesign, bespoke optimisation of joinery to lighting, finishes, furniture, custom artwork, procurement and one of my favourite parts - final styling.

Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of designing and managing large-scale private residences, collaborating with talented craftspeople and receiving two international interior design awards.

For me, true luxury is not about following trends. It is about creating a home that feels balanced, beautifully resolved and completely personal to the client and family.

Design, movement & grounding moments shaping spring… ✨

Between sourcing days, studio work, outdoor meetings and everyday life, I’ve been drawn to natural textures, considered details and pieces that transition effortlessly through the different moments of the day.
This month has included fabric palettes and project development, working outdoors again, spring flowers everywhere, family time in the countryside and finding small moments of calm within a very full life.

There’s something I’ve been more aware of lately. How you move through your day matters. The pace you choose, the thoughts you hold, the intention behind the small things… it all shapes the energy you carry into everything else.

As someone constantly moving between interiors projects, client meetings and creative work, comfort and ease have become essential - both in the spaces I design and in how I dress day to day.

The CTRNE connect trainers have become my everyday studio/site-visit trainers lately, so I’ve added the link in my bio 🤍

The first shoes to be infused with copper and carbon to connect with the grounds natural energy. The grounding elements can affect circulation positively and promote reduction in inflammation.

This past week has been a beautiful mix of design details, soft fabrics, countryside calm—and a few baby snuggles between emails.

[1] On-site, we’re in that exciting stage where textures and light start speaking to each other. Every decision is about balance—how a space feels as much as how it looks.

[2] This project is really embracing earthy minimalism. Tones that ground, textures that invite. I love how a neutral palette can still feel so expressive.

[3] I came across these fabric and instantly imagined it as something special—a cushion, a chair back, a curtain leading edge detail. It’s the kind of tactile piece that adds soul to a room. What would you use it for?

[4] A countryside walk with the little ones this week brought so much clarity. Nature always reminds me that home should be a place of pause, softness, slow beauty and joy.

[5] And the most precious project I’m part of right now—our newest little one. I’m still part-time while on maternity leave, which means balancing site plans with nap time. Thank you for continuing to support Anna Maria Interiors during this season. It means more than you know.

Our hearts are fuller than ever! Baby Arthur has been with us for 6 weeks now, and it’s been a beautiful, chaotic, love-filled blur.

Balancing motherhood and my passion for interiors has reminded me that both design and parenting require patience, creativity, and love for the details.
From nursery plans to family-friendly spaces, this new chapter has brought fresh inspiration for making every corner of a home reflect warmth and joy.

One of my favorite aspects of being an Interior Designer is helping clients create spaces they’ve always dreamed of.

From crafting personalised colour palettes and custom furniture to designing bespoke artwork and final styling - guiding clients in shaping their visual direction. We achieve this by adding harmony through cohesive color tones, carefully curating joinery and furniture styles, and considering scale and material finishes that work seamlessly together. This thoughtful direction transforms their everyday lifestyle, making the process as fun as it is rewarding to see completed.

By working with a professional, clients also avoid costly mistakes, whether it’s in spatial and architectural layout planning or regrets with fabric selection for both functionality and aesthetics.
