Did you know that coconut hair, or coir, as it’s better known, is one of the more traditional materials used in furniture upholstery?

We didn’t either until we popped into Needle & Nail and caught up with John, who is restoring a chair for a customer.

We look forward to seeing it when it’s finished!

Hurry! There is just 1 space left on next week's jewellery workshop so if you have always wanted to have a go at making your own, then this is the perfect time.

For just £20 you can create a necklace and pair of earrings, with support from jewellery making expert Penny Holmes from PensGems. Refreshments are included.

🎨 Art Sparks Saturday art sessions are a BIG hit! 🎨

They've had sell-out weeks recently, so if your 7–11 year old loves getting creative, we really do recommend booking early to reserve their spot!

Our Saturday afternoon children’s art sessions are full of fun, creativity and plenty of opportunities to get stuck in — all led by the wonderfully talented Anna & Nik.

This term’s People theme is sure to inspire some brilliant artwork, big ideas and lots of imagination! 👩‍🎨🧑‍🎨

There are works taking place around and near the Craft Centre turning today, including Hi-Line tree trimming and Environment Agency dredging works.

We are still very much open, and we’ve been assured that access will be maintained at all times.

✨ Could you be the next craftsperson at Clevedon Craft Centre? ✨

Calling all budding craftspeople, makers and creatives! 👋

Do you have a unique craft that you’ve been creating at home, but feel that now is the time to take the next step and have a customer-facing space of your own?

One of our studios at Clevedon Craft Centre is now available to rent — and studios here don’t become available very often!

We’re looking for someone who can bring something new and different to our collection of traditional and heritage crafts, whilst adding to the creative spirit and variety here. 

We’re already home to a talented bunch of craftspeople, including a goldsmith, potter, woodturner, leathercraft maker and textile artist — but what could you bring?

🎨 Perhaps you’re an artist?

🪟 A stained-glass maker?

🌿 A willow weaver?

🪵 A traditional maker or artisan?

We’re particularly interested in traditional and heritage crafts, and we’d love to hear from someone who can bring a new skill, craft or creative discipline to us.

If you’ve been dreaming of taking your craft from creating at home to having a place where customers can see, buy and experience your work, this could be your opportunity to take the leap!

Why not pop along and spend a few lovely hours exploring the wonderful work of our resident makers? Our studios are full of creativity, talent and unique handmade treasures, so make sure you visit all of the studios — each one has something different to offer!

🕙 Studios open: around 10am–4pm
☕ Little Leaf & Bean Coffee Shop: 9.30am–3.30pm

Pop into Little Leaf & Bean for delicious coffees and teas, light lunches, tasty cheese scones and tempting cakes. The perfect place to relax and refuel while you explore! 🍰☕

Have a chat with our resident makers and discover more about their crafts, creations and the inspiration behind their work. 🧵🎨✨

And keep your eyes peeled… 🦆🐔 Our friendly ducks and chickens will most likely come along to say hello too!
