🧼🤦🏼‍♀️ I SWEAR I ONLY CLEANED THAT FIVE MINUTES AGO!!

You wipe the kitchen down.

Everything's looking lovely.

Turn your back for five minutes...

And somehow there's crumbs, fingerprints, coffee and tea stains and sugar everywhere!! 🙈

I mean... HOW?!

Has somebody been having a midnight feast in broad daylight?! 👀

Honestly, I reckon I could spend all day cleaning the same worktop and STILL find something sticky on it!!

Butttt...

If I've got to keep cleaning up everyone's mess, I'm at least going to make the kitchen smell gorgeous while I'm doing it!! 😍

And that's where my Scentsy Counter Clean comes in!

🧦👀 DOES YOUR WASHING MACHINE EAT SOCKS?!

Because I think mine has gone on a sock munching mission!! 🤦🏼‍♀️

You put TWO socks in the washing machine.

Two!!

You know they were both there because you literally picked them up together!!

But when the washing comes out...

One has vanished!! 😳

And it's never the old sock with a hole in it, is it?!

Oh noooo!!

It's always one of your favourites!! 🙄

And where does the other one go?!

It's not in the washing basket.

It's not on the floor.

It's not hiding in the washing machine.

It's not even tangled up in the fitted sheet or anything else!!

It's just disappeared!! 🤷🏼‍♀️

Honestly, I'm convinced there's a secret sock nightclub somewhere behind the drum!!

All the missing socks are in there having the time of their lives while I'm wandering around with ONE SOCK wondering where its mate has gone!! 🙈

I'm telling you now...

There's something very suspicious going on in that washing machine!! 👀🧦

🎄👀 HAVE YOU EVER SMELLED SOMETHING AND THOUGHT...

WELLLLL... THAT'S NOT QUITE WHAT I WAS EXPECTING!! 🤣

Because that's exactly what happened when I got my nose on November's Scent of the Month!

Meet Pomegranate Pine! ❤️🌲

Now, I'm a fruity fragrance girl!

So when I saw pomegranate in the name, I was thinking juicy fruitiness with a little bit of Christmas tree thrown in!

Sounds lovely, doesn't it?!

Wellllll...

I got the whole blooming tree!! 🤣🎄

Honestly, I had a sniff and wondered where on earth the pomegranate had disappeared to!!

It's got pomegranate, orange and fir balsam in it, but my nose seems to have completely ignored the fruity bits and gone straight for the Christmas tree!! 🤦🏼‍♀️

I mean... where's the pomegranate hiding?! 👀

And if you're wondering why I've got a great big pile of samples in my hand...

I've been busy making Pomegranate Pine samples so you can have a sniff for yourself!

Because I need to know whether it's just my nose being awkward!! 🤣

☕🚨 IS THERE ANYTHING MORE ANNOYING THAN MAKING YOURSELF A LOVELY CUP OF COFFEE...

AND THEN FORGETTING IT EXISTS?! 🤦🏼‍♀️🤣

Because apparently, in my house, drinking a HOT coffee is some sort of impossible challenge!!

I'll make one, put it down, get distracted by something that was only supposed to take TWO MINUTES...

And then suddenly...

AN HOUR HAS PASSED!! 👀

There it is.

My poor abandoned coffee.

STONE COLD!! 😭

And do I make myself another one?!

NOPE!!

I pick it up, take a mouthful and instantly remember why cold coffee is NEVER the same!! 🤣🙈

But I'll still drink it because I'm not wasting a perfectly good brew!!

Well... it WAS perfectly good about an hour ago!! 🤦🏼‍♀️

Honestly, I reckon I spend more time LOOKING for my coffee than actually drinking it!

And the worst bit?!

I never seem to learn!!

Tomorrow I'll make another one, put it down somewhere and the whole ridiculous cycle will start AGAIN!! 🤣

Please tell me I'm not the only one who does this?!

☕ Drink it hot before anything distracts you!

🙈 Forget about it and end up drinking it cold!

👀❤️ WHO THE HECK IS CRAZY RED... AND WHAT HAVE YOU LET YOURSELF IN FOR?! 🤣

Wellllll... I've noticed a few new faces popping up around here lately!

So I thought I'd better introduce myself before you start wondering what on EARTH you've followed!! 🙈

I'm Helen! 👋🏼

37, bright red hair, glasses, a slightly questionable sense of humour and a house where peace and quiet is practically an endangered species! 🤣

And nope Crazy Red isn't a name I pulled out of thin air!

About five years ago, I dyed my hair red.

Add that to my already slightly bonkers personality and my friends started calling me Crazy Red!

And apparently nobody's bothered calling me anything sensible since!! 🤦🏼‍♀️🤣

So when I decided to give my Scentsy business a new name last year...

Well, it was either Crazy Red Scents or pretend I'm some calm, organised, sophisticated businesswoman!

And let's face it...

THAT WAS NEVER GOING TO HAPPEN!! 🙈💜

Now, a few things you should probably know before you get too comfortable...

🐶 I've got TWO dogs, Zeus and Lola!

Zeus is our Staffy who spends most of his life wondering why he has to put up with everybody.

Lola is our American Bulldog who thinks personal space is a ridiculous invention, believes the sofa belongs entirely to her and is just as bonkers as me! 🤣

❤️ I've got Pete, my other half, also known as Penguin!

He's somehow survived living with me, the dogs and my endless collection of random ideas.

🦆 I collect RUBBER DUCKS!

Yep, actual rubber ducks!

And if I see one I haven't got, there's a very good chance it's coming home with me!

🚗 I LOVE car shows!

Give me a day surrounded by cars, a bit of sunshine and good company and I'm happy!

☕ I love coffee!

Although there's a very good chance I'll put it down somewhere, get distracted and discover it two hours later!

❤️ I've got six stepchildren, a big family and usually about 47 things happening at once!

And somewhere in the middle of all that...

I RUN A SCENTSY BUSINESS!! 👀💜

But don't worry...

😳🎄 NOVEMBER?! ALREADY?!

Excuse me... who gave October permission to disappear that quickly?! 🤦🏼‍♀️🤣

I swear we were only just getting excited about pumpkins...

And now suddenly...

🎄 Christmas is creeping into EVERYTHING!

🎁 People are talking about presents.

📺 The Christmas films are appearing.

🎶 And don't even get me started on the Christmas songs playing NON-STOP for the next 47 MILLION YEARS!!

Okayyyy... I might have gone a BIT over the top there, but it certainly feels like it!! 🤣🙈

🛒 Every shop seems determined to remind me how many shopping days I've got left!

And I'm STILL trying to work out where half of October went!! 🙈

Although I will admit...

I do love this time of year! ❤️

The cosy evenings.

The blankets.

The excuse to stay in your PJs.

And the fact that nobody can judge you for getting excited about Christmas a little bit early! 🤣

BUTTTT...

I need to know something very important!! 👀

When does Christmas officially start in your house?!

🎄 1 November — Halloween's over, get the tree out!

🎅 1 December — Not a day before!

🎁 Somewhere in between!

🙈 Christmas?! I'm still recovering from Halloween!!

And I bet there's somebody reading this who's already got their decorations up!! 🤣

🐶 HOW MANY PEOPLE DO YOU KNOW PURELY BECAUSE OF YOUR PET?

The dog walker you see every morning.

The person in the pet shop.

The groomer.

The neighbour whose dog your dog MUST shout hello to through the window. 😂

The people you’ve met in breed groups.

And the complete strangers whose pet you’ve greeted before even acknowledging them. 👀🤣

Pet people talk.

We ask questions.

Share recommendations.

Swap stories.

And somehow know every detail of each other’s dogs while being unsure of the owner’s actual name.

That’s what building relationships can look like.

Not marching into the dog park shouting about joining your business.

Just being a real person, having conversations and letting people get to know you.

Your world might already be much bigger than you think. ❤️

WE'RE MIXING THEM NOW!! 🤣

And before you start picturing bubbling green potions, bats flying round the kitchen and somebody turning into a frog... 🐸

IT'S WAX!! 🙈

Yep! You can mix different Scentsy wax fragrances in your warmer to create your own fragrance combination!

And somebody's been getting creative because LOOK at these two little concoctions! 👀

Someone messages...

“Fancy a day out?” 🚗

OOOHHH YES PLEASE!! 🙋🏼‍♀️

Then your brain kicks in...

🤦🏼‍♀️ Hang on, I'm working.

📅 Have I got any holiday left?

🙄 Will they actually let me have the day off?

👀 Who's going to cover me?

And suddenly that lovely little plan has turned into a whole flipping operation!

ALL BECAUSE YOU WANT A DAY OUT!! 🤣

And don't even get me started on those last-minute bargains...

A cheap weekend away pops up. 🧳

The weather's looking gorgeous. ☀️

Someone says “Shall we just go?”

And you're sat there thinking...

I'D LOVE TO... BUT I'VE GOT WORK. 😩

We always talk about needing flexibility when things go wrong.

Kids off school. 🤒

Hospital appointments. 🏥

Family emergencies.

But what about when something GOOD comes along?! 👀

The random invites.

The days out you didn't plan.

The weekends away.

The memories you end up laughing about for YEARS! ❤️

Because those are the bits you don't always get another chance at.

Now I'm not saying I can just disappear and forget I've got a business. 🙈

I've still got customers to look after, orders to sort and messages to answer. 📦

BUT...

I can take Crazy Red with me. 📱💜

Some things can wait until I'm home.

Some things I can sort while I'm out.

And sometimes?

I CAN JUST SAY YES AND GO!! 🚗💨

No holiday form.

No asking permission.

No trying to swap shifts.

And I absolutely LOVE that I've built something that gives me that choice. 🥰

Because I want to make memories, not spend my life saying “I wish I could, but I'm working.”
