My Turtle painting sold 3 times over, which for an artist is such a wonderful feeling! So for the couple of people who missed out I created bespoke silver leaf Turtle prints.

I thought I’d show you what I can do for you if you need a little more Turtle in your home, I silver leaf a giclee canvas print, flat for framing in a frame or stretch on stretcher bars, It’s looks just like the original at a smidge of the price and is available in 2 sizes. I can do this with any of my prints and can also leaf in gold (not the real stuff!)

Please get in contact if you’re interested in a bespoke print 🙌🏻

Hummingbird ⏳

I keep feeling like maybe spring is here and I can slide open the doors, breathe in the smell of oil paint, walk Into a warm sunny studio and start painting, but still no.

I’m following up the humming bird with an Elephant on silver leaf, I’m still obsessed with it, keep checking back.

More delightful music to accompany my Hummingbirds tail. I really really struggle with painting feathers and birds, although always enjoy the challenge it’s given me when I’ve finished.

These last couple of weeks I’ve spent a while clearing out my studio, a yearly ritual, because I spend most of the year on ‘just another little project’ that all gets stored in my studio, we’ve moved my piano I’m very slowly leading to play to the other side of the room and I have a new larger area to stare and blank canvas and procrastinate in!

Until now it’s been so cold I’ve been painting in the en suite in the spare bedroom, away from small people with enquiring hands! let’s hope spring appears from somewhere soon and it’ll be time to paint in the studio again and feel the warm sun on my skin.

A nearly finished Humming Bird, just the eye to finish.

They’re such fantastic little things, I took a little search through google to find some interesting Humming Bird things to tell you, the most interesting I think being they use spider web to build their nests, the smallest Humming Bird are just 2g in weight and they can fly backwards and upside down.

Here’s a little more progress on my Humming Bird. The beautiful shiny twinkling spring music doesn’t quite match the speed at which this video has been taken at but hopefully you all get the gist!
