Received a quote and the price caught you off guard? you are thinking why is it so expensive they are just flowers?

I get it, however here are things that not everyone is aware of.

It’s easy to compare the price to supermarket flowers and they have their place but they are simply just not the same.

Flowers come in different grades. Supermarket flowers are lower grade and the stores have mass buying power to bring you a lower cost. They are designed to be picked up and arranged by yourself.

Florists spend the time picking the best quality stems and finding the best growers. The stem lengths are longer and we tend to have access to more luxurious flowers. Typically the longer the stem the larger the flower head and longer they last. Some of the most popular flowers used in weddings and events come from growers in Holland, Colombia and Ecuador and have to be kept cool and fresh throughout that import process.

Prices fluctuate throughout the year, this is why it’s important to be flexible. If you love a certain flower but it’s out of season it will cost us more to get it in for you.

Florists will get your flowers in 2-3 days before an event. Spend hours conditioning them to make sure they are looking their best for your special day
