Mabel was on the track from Lough Shannagh to OTT carpark, on the Mourne Mountains.

Castlewellan Forest Park

There has been a possible sighting of Mabel in Castlewellan Forest Park this morning.

A dog matching Mabel’s description was seen running on the path beside the lake and then running up into the trees.

At this stage Mabel will be running scared so if you see her please do not approach, call or chase her ..but contact the owner Ellie directly on the number below with details.

This dog did not appear to be with anyone but if you were walking in Castlewellan this morning with a similar dog off-lead .. please let us know. This will help to try to verify this sighting.

It is possible that Mable could have made her way to Castlewellan Forest Park, but as it’s not confirmed please still be vigilant if you are heading to the Mournes.
