How to make a hydrangea wreath 🩷
A little step-by-step for how I made this beautiful wreath 🤍
Step 1️⃣ — Drying the hydrangeas
I placed my fresh hydrangeas in a vase with just a little water, so the ends of the stems were touching the water. I left them to dry naturally for about a week.
Step 2️⃣ — Prepare the base
I used a dry moss wreath base as the foundation. You could use wicker or straw.
Step 3️⃣ — Add the hydrangeas
Once the flowers were completely dry, I trimmed the stems and started placing the hydrangea heads into the moss base and binding each one tightly with reel wire.
Step 4️⃣ — Build the wreath
I worked my way around the wreath, arranging the flowers until I was happy with the shape and fullness.
Step 5️⃣ — Finishing touches
I filled any little gaps and added a beautiful burgundy bow to finish it off.
And there you have it, a simple, natural and timeless dried hydrangea wreath. 🤍
Save this and have a go!
