I’ve added some new pyrography pieces — a mix of playful fridge magnets and plant markers/labels, all ready for a browse 💚☺️🧲🪴🌿

✨ Christmas Commission Complete ✨

This special piece was created for a lovely local Dorking resident as a Christmas gift for her Dad 🎁✨🎄

She provided a ready-made wooden serving board, which I carefully sanded back, refreshed, and added a hand-finished cockerel design — a nod to the iconic Dorking cockerel 🐓

The board was then re-varnished and placed back into its original box, ready to gift, with a personalised touch that makes it truly one of a kind. 🧀 🥖 🍇 🐓 🐔 🪵
I love creating meaningful pieces that celebrate local heritage and personal stories.

Three commissions I made for a friend, centered around Rule 62: don’t take yourself too damn seriously.😌☺️

In AA lore, Rule 62 comes from an early group that nearly tore itself apart arguing over dozens of rules for a big recovery facility. Before it went any further, they scrapped the whole thing with one final rule — a reminder that ego and over-seriousness can do more harm than good. That moment helped shape AA’s emphasis on humility and autonomy.

That message feels especially relevant around Christmas. 🎄 The holidays can be heavy — full of expectations, memories, and pressure to feel a certain way. Rule 62 is a quiet permission slip to ease up, let go of perfection, and meet the season as you are. 💛
These pieces felt like a good reminder that grace, humour, and letting go can be just as important as effort — especially this time of year.

✨ WESTfestivity 2025 — That’s a Wrap! ✨

And what a day it was! Thank you for having me!☺️

A huge success filled with community spirit from start to finish. It was busy, joyful, and full of the loveliest customers and fellow stallholders — all so supportive, cheery, and full of festive vibes. 💖

The SIGHTS 🤩 of colourful stalls, twinkling lights and festive foliage 🎄…
The SOUNDS 🎶 of organ music, choirs and happy chatter…
The SMELLS of mulled wine 🍷, spiced gin, candles and soaps 🕯️…
The TASTES of pie ’n’ mash 🥧, fresh coffee ☕️, cakes 🍰, chocs and local honey 🍯… food galore! 😋

Such a perfect day for crimble shopping 🛍️, tasty treats 😋, and catching up with stallholders old and new 🥰 — plus a Santa cameo 🎅

✨ Commission Spotlight ✨

I recently had the pleasure of creating a pair of personalised wood-burned coasters for a lovely customer local to Dorking — a special gift for her friends getting married. 🐓🐔 🤍

One features a proud cockerel, the other a sweet hen, each with “Mr” and “Mrs” beneath. These detailed little pieces were such a joy to bring to life, and I hope they bring a smile to the happy couple as they start this new and exciting chapter together. 💍❤️
