Looking forward to my next craft fair - currently got a full kiln just about to reach temperature so will do a reveal all being well on Tuesday and then planning to fire again so I’ve got enough stock! If you are in Dover next weekend please pop in and support me and the other crafters and trades at the Town Hall (the Maison Dieu)…

My latest Raku fired pieces now cleaned up and will be ready for sale at my forthcoming fairs - first of which will be at the Maison Dieu Dover for their Christmas Market on 7th and 8th November when I hope to see you all there if you can make it 🔥😊🎄

Late night fettling needed for these fresh from their slip cast moulds. Slip casting can be just as tricky as other forms of pottery - getting timing right is key to make sure your pottery is stable enough to be handled and fettled.

Some late night fettling is in order having decanted these from the slip cast moulds as I have a busy few weeks ahead and orders are coming in all of a sudden from all angles - which I really appreciate and don’t want to let any of you down on! Shows how much my pottery is growing too which is great news 😀

Sometimes you wonder why you enjoy such a challenging hobby - slip cast this vase on Saturday and decanted last night as it looked ready for release and sure enough it was but it then proceeded to collapse in on itself - too soon clearly to come away from the mould and be able to hold its own weight! Will go again on Thursday as I have so much to complete before the end of the month ready for a month of fairs!
