Morning! It’s been a while since I’ve posted as things are very busy in the studio with projects at varying stages demanding our attention.
I’m sharing this vaulted kitchen in a beautiful Country Home that we redesigned and updated for the clients to create a warm, comfortable family home that fitted with their lifestyle.
Whilst the majority of the cabinetry was in place we added additional higher level joinery either side of the Aga to match the existing cupboard design. This gave useful storage, particularly by creating a breakfast cupboard.
We also changed the island colour to work with the scheme throughout the home, which was neutral with accents of green and soft pinks, and since this space leads off to both a dining area and living room and through the orangery it felt important that the scheme was cohesive and flowed.
The original false chimney breast and over mantle were huge and dominated the space so we also reduced the proportions of these to fit the scale of the space.
The end result, I hope you agree, is a beautiful and timeless kitchen.
