Do you know the difference between a Bumble bee and a Honey bee?
πThe Bumble bee (pictured left) is a lot larger and rounder with bigger blocks of colour.
They live in small, wild colonies ranging from 50 to a few hundred bees. Their colonies are annual; all workers and males die at the end of summer, while only the newly mated queen hibernates through the winter.
π―The Honey Bee (pictured right) is a lot slimmer. They live in massive, highly structured colonies of 20,000 to 50,000+ bees. The colony is perennial and survives for years, with the queen living up to three or four years.
