Christmas card season just got a whole lot more beautiful
Lisa is working with the gorgeous Festive Poinsettia 5x7 Layering Stencils from The Studio Collection - and the depth and richness of colour she builds up is just breathtaking. Here's how she does it:
🌺 Working through each stencil layer in turn, Lisa inks through with a stencil brush using Cloud 9 inks in Pimpernel Rose, Red House Brick, Matisse Aubergine, Bexley Stone, Marigold Bloom and Willow Forest -building shade and depth with every single layer
🌺 The stencilled image is cut using the outline die from the Festive Wreath Die Set and mounted with a metallic gold drop shadow onto a black mat and layer, and the contrast is just stunning
🌺 The sentiment from the Wreath Sentiments Mix & Match Die Set is cut in gold and added to a white square card blank
And then Lisa does the most genius thing
🌺 Take the detailed die from the Festive Wreath Die Set, cut it from white card, glue it to the envelope flap and trim down - and just like that your envelope has the most gorgeous faux embossed detail to match your card!
That little envelope detail is everything, the kind of finishing touch that makes someone feel truly special when they open their post!
