My husband is autistic and unable to work. He does a lot of artwork and music to keep himself busy, with little success in terms of selling since we don't have an agent (can't afford one) nor he can show off his work at art galleries (can't afford that too).

For the first time in a long time, I'm excited about the internet again. Mastodon reminds me of the 90s internet, a wild west frontier without all the toxicity. I like that each server has its own moderators. And a distinct lack of corporate B.S. I've seen criticisms that it's "complicated". That's a really lame critique, especially coming from so-called " digital native" millennials and gen-z. If you can figure out how to navigate Discord or log onto a Minecraft server, you can use Mastodon. Try it, it's so much better than any corporate, walled-garden social network.
