At Jacana Interiors, I like to design beautiful, bold, & bespoke pieces for my clients. Not only does it have a unique feel that you can’t buy on the high street but also it reflects my clients personality & style.
These beautifully dining chairs were crafted by using some beautiful fabric which reflects the light beautifully. The front of the chairs were upholstered in beautiful velvet by in this gorgeous olive green colour which teams really well with the walnut dining table.
The chairs are not only functional but are super comfortable for those long leisurely dinners that my client loves to host in this stunning riverside house situated in Laleham Village, Surrey.
In every concept design I offer to my clients, I always include a bespoke detailed designed piece especially with you in mind.

Let’s talk inspiration and sensational boutique hotels!
This week I headed down to Brighton and checked out the amazing hotel situated right on the sea front! The interiors speak for themselves in these pictures. The beautiful depth of colour of the walls give a real cosy cocooning feel, attention to every detail from the styling to the upholstery, exceptional bespoke design & all the art is sourced from a selection of local artists.
They even have a pantry where resident guests can indulge in nostalgia from all the traditional sweets selection to an array of drinks and homemade brownies! Could you actually want any more? Maybe the dog treats then for your fur baby?
They have a beautiful spa too, perfect for relaxing after strolling the coastline or shopping in the lanes. The powder room is beautifully designed and they have the gorgeous toiletries!
Of course, I had to sample the fizz too with a glass of my favourite English sparkling chilled to perfection 🥂
The food looked great too so if your heading down to Brighton and are looking for the perfect stay, then look no further than this fabulous retreat ❤️

Why Jacana? Well Jacana is a bird that can be found in the tropics of Africa & Asia.
This beautiful bird is renowned for building beautiful nests, but not high up in trees like most do, but rather the Jacana boldly builds its bespoke nest at water level on a beautiful Lily Pad! How Cool?!
Likewise at Jacana Interiors, I love to create bold, bespoke and beautiful ‘nests’ for my clients that reflect their unique personalities. Just like the bird, my designs have an unexpected edge in that I love to design bespoke statement pieces for my clients, whether it’s a piece of furniture, a statement light or a beautiful headboard etc
What sets me apart is that I include one designed piece just for you as part of my design concept stage.

There are hotels and then there is . So glad to be back here again at this fabulous location for another retreat but this time it was a fashion one with the fabulous as our host who opened her little black book and took us to all her favourite atelier boutiques around Marrakech who are making some incredible fashion using unique designs and vibrant colours.
Interiors and fashion are so closely linked and it was so good to see a slightly different side of Marrakech but also the relation between the two in terms of pattern, texture and colour.
I travelled with my very good friends and .macx and was great to meet and get to know such an inspirational group of women from all different backgrounds over some busy days of fashion, food and entertainment. The events team and were sensational at looking after us and making sure the retreat ran like clockwork. ❤️

We do Beach Huts too….
This was a lovely project based in beautiful Broadstairs on the Kent Coast. It was inspired by the colour of the hut, the cliffs and the greenery surrounding the coast.
We were limited what we could do as the hut is owned by the council so not able to paint all the walls but we painted the bench, the shelves and the beautiful 1950’s vintage cabinet in Hardwick White
For the curtains we used 2 different complimentary on the door and the bench curtains and used a Pom Pom trim. The wonderful Jo made the curtains and did a wonderful job.

Bank Holiday Mondays don’t usually inspire me… but this one completely surprised me. With the sun on our side, we meandered through the rolling Surrey South Downs and landed in the most charming discovery — the historic village of Petworth. Think winding cobbled streets, antiques and interiors design treasures at every turn, and a quiche at Cherry’s café so good it deserves its own fan club. 🥧
