WORKSHOPS
Listed below are the workshops/classes that are running in the near future. Events pages will be created nearer the time with booking details etc. Tea/coffee and biscuits will be included in the cost of all workshops. All materials/resources are provided unless otherwise stated. Please see Facebook events pages for sample pictures.
Workshop Booking Terms & Conditions
1. All workshops to be paid for in advance either by cash or card in the shop or Bank Transfer to Shed Load of Crafts, Barclays Account No 00122424 Sort code 204545 with your name and workshop as reference.
2. Bookings will be confirmed once full payment is received and by making the full payment you will have agreed to all the terms and conditions.
3. Full refunds will be given if cancelled more than 7 days before date of workshop. Or you find someone else to take your place or if we can advertise your space and fill it.
4. For Mystery Craft Night & Art group sessions if you cancel between the 7th and 4th day before the event, we will refund 50% of fee.
5. In all other cases no refunds will be given.
6. If we cancel a workshop/group then we are liable for the refund of the fees only, not for any other costs incurred by yourselves.
7. If workshops are booked in the 7 days prior to the event then payment will be made in full and no refunds will be given (except for Mystery Craft Night & Art Group conditions as stated above)
8. All drop-in groups (Weekly crochet & Paper crafting) will continue to be pay when you attend.
Sat 20th June 11 – 1pm Silk Painted Scarf. Rosemary will be teaching a different technique in silk painting using a microwave and then painting on top again and setting with an iron tp make a lovely silk scarf. This is different to the previous workshop using a microwave. All material provided. Cost £35
Tues 23rd June 11 – 1pm Mystery Craft Morning Come along to our make and take mystery crafts session. You can choose 2 out of the 4 crafts that will be available. (There will be a small additional charge if you decide to take part in more crafts) A lovely relaxed no pressure atmosphere. £12.50. Full payment required on booking. 8 spaces only available Please note that Mystery Craft A & B previous will be doing the same crafts.
Thurs 25th June 6.30 – 8.30pm Mystery Craft Night (A) Come along to our make and take mystery crafts session. You can choose 2 out of the 4 crafts that will be available. Sat 27th June 11 – 1pm Silk Paper Making Following on from beginners silk painting and silk scarf workshop, Rosemary will be teaching you how to create silk paper, using silk fibres and natural mediums (leaves, flowers etc.) 6 spaces available.
Cost £30 full payment required on booking
Sat 4th July 1030 – 1230pm Slow Stitching Club. This runs on the 1st Saturday of each month, in a similar format as our Art Club. £12.50 per session with materials provided.
A space to relax, hand stitch. socialise and build up a personal stitch sampler book. There is no rush and no rules, it’s about enjoying the process of stitching, texture and creativity. Over time we can look at different stitches, Sashiko, patchwork, fabric collage, invisible mending and hopefully lots more.

Sat 11th July 11 – 3pm Mosaic Workshop You will make a mosaic out of broken china, glass etc. All instructions and resources will be provided by Angela from Angela’s Summerhouse Studio There will be a break of 30mins for lunch which you can bring with you or order from the café on site. Cost £35. Full payment required on booking to secure place.
Sat 18th July 11 – 1pm Needle Felted Snail Wendy will lead you through making the Needle felted Snail and other items to attach to a wooden slice. All material and embellishments provided. Full payment required on booking. £32.50
Sat 25th July 1030 – 1230 Sewn Coiled Bowl. Come and make coiled rope bowls - a simpler version of the wrapped fabric bowls previously done.
All materials will be provided. Various colourways to choose from. You will need to bring your own sewing machine which has the ability of doing zig zag stitches.
Cost £25 Maximum of 5 spaces available. Full payment required on booking.
Sat 8th August 11 – 1pm Needle Felted Fun Coasters Wendy will lead you through the process of creating a selection of fun felted coasters (you will make more than 1 in the time). All materials provided. Full payment required on booking. £32.50
Sat 26th Sept 11 – 1pm Needle Felted Tea Light Holder. Wendy will lead you through making a felted Tea Light holder. You will be felting into a polystyrene ring and then making the felted embellishments. All material supplied. Full payment required on booking £32.50
REGULAR WORKSHOPS
These are drop in and do not need to be booked and paid for in advance
17th June 11- 1pm Then weekly. Wednesday Crochet Group, come to learn to crochet or to expand your skills, tuition given by Ann £15 per session if a beginner, £8 if you know the basics and maybe just need to learn to read a pattern etc. No need to book. Knitters also welcome.
18th June 1 – 1pm Then weekly Thursday Crochet Group. As above
2nd July (then every other Thurs night) 6.30 - 8.30pm Evening Crochet Club. As above
7th July (then 1st Tues of the month) 11 - 1pm Card & Papercraft club. Come along and use the die cut machine and dies as well as exchange ideas in a relaxed atmosphere. £5.
16th June 2 – 4pm then fortnightly Socially Square Tuesday. Come along and sew/crochet squares together to make blankets for the Nightingale Cancer Support. Tea/coffee included. Free
We also run a once-a-month Art group 2 – 4pm & 6 – 8pm on a Tuesday as well as 3 Card making groups that are held on the 1st and 3rd Monday of each month a the 3rd Tuesday all 1030 till 1230. Places for these are limited so please contact for further information and to see if places are available.
