Product sustainability is important so I use semi precious stones for my Chakra jewellery or glass, ceramic and wooden beads. I started making wire art as a way of managing pain relief from a medical condition I suffer from: Fibromyalgia, it's a painful muscle and nerve disease and can be 24/7. I had to retire from work at age 57 due to constant pain. The process of working with my hands and the
creativity of coming up with different applications of wire art makes me forget the pain whilst working. Now I just love creating beautiful products that are meaningful spiritually, or a link to ancient myths and civilizations. But sometimes my products are just for fun, such as my vintage retro jewellery made from upcycled crystals and beads. I like to use glass beads and semi precious stones from UK stores or source jewellery pieces from charity shops, dismantle, clean and then repurpose into a new design. After gifting almost everything I make to friends and family and receiving wonderful feedback, I decided that by selling my products I can earn an income at last, to supplement my retirement. (Like may women, I won't receive my state pension until I'm 67!!)
