Allow me to reintroduce myself.
I'm a married mum of 1 working in the health sector by day and sustaining a craft habit by night.
I have been a fibreartist for over 15 years now but I've dabbled in dressmaking, mosaic, candlemaking and cake design from a very young age.
I guess you could say the craft force is strong with me!

I'm sat winding yarn. A dull task to most but as I put together these yarn cakes I am reminded of each project that was made with the yarn and where in the world is was sent to. I consider my craft journey so far and the impact I've had on peoples gifting culture, or just their perception of crochet as an artform.

Deep in thought I work away....then I am brought back to reality by a cringe moment I had today. So there I am, posting yet another vinted parcel. I print my sticker and the man bleeps the barcode. I hesitate for a second too long, expecting a receipt. Then in a milli second remember that I don't get a scrap of card anymore. So I go on to pretend that the reason I hesitated was to indeed peruse his fine corner store establishment for a confectionary treat. Well, by this point the man's wondering if I'm holding in a fart or about to hold him up so I grab an overpriced shrinkflation sized chocolate bar and make a show of paying for it using the magical contactless facilities. I bid him farewell- a little too loudly. Now I can't go back there. How very British.
