There’s a lot of pressure online to do everything “properly” these days. Homemade everything. Organic everything. Perfectly balanced plates every night.

Real life doesn’t work like that in this house.

Some days I have the time and energy for slow food, sourdough and butter churned from scratch.
Some days it’s fish fingers in the air fryer while everyone survives the after school chaos.

And genuinely? I think there’s value in both.

Because the real win isn’t perfection. It’s having options. It’s feeding your family. It’s learning skills. It’s creating breathing space where you can.

That’s one of the things I love most about my Thermomix too. It helps me do more from scratch when I want to… but also helps massively on the days I absolutely do not.

Now I just throw recipes into the Cookidoo weekly planner, shop smarter and let the Thermomix quietly help me get through the week.

Unfortunately it’s annoyingly effective.

I honestly thought meal planning was for people who had their lives far more together than me 😂

Turns out… having even a rough plan makes SUCH a difference.

Less standing staring into the fridge.
Less last minute panic dinners.
Less food waste.
Less mental load.

I think a lot of people assume cooking from scratch means spending hours in the kitchen every night.

Honestly? I don’t have the time for that either.

What I DO have now is better systems.

A weekly planner.
Repeat meals we genuinely love.
A Thermomix quietly getting on with half the job while life is happening around me.
And a kitchen that feels calmer instead of chaotic.

It’s not about perfection.
It’s about feeding people well in a way that actually feels sustainable.

And that matters to me more and more these days 💛

Repeat meals.
Planner on Cookidoo.
Potatoes steaming while I sort everything else.
Letting the Thermomix do the faffy bits.

Not glamorous.
