🌈 A very special project close to my heart… 🐾

This is Darcie, our beautiful family dog who we sadly lost in June last year. ❤️

It has taken me quite some time to feel ready to create something as a lasting memorial to her, but I finally decided to turn one of my favourite photos into this stunning faux stained glass acrylic hanger.

✨ Double-sided design
✨ Printed on clear acrylic
✨ Raised textured “lead” lines on one side to replicate real stained glass
✨ Beautiful colours that truly come to life when the light shines through

Seeing Darcie sat there looking out to sea again has been incredibly emotional, but also a lovely way to keep her memory alive every day.

These pieces can be fully personalised using your own treasured photographs of pets, loved ones, favourite places, or special memories, creating a unique keepsake that will last for years to come.

🖨️ The testing has begun! 🎉

We’ve spent the weekend putting our new EufyMake E1 UV Printer through its paces, experimenting with different materials and products – and we’re delighted with the early results! 🤩

Here’s a little sneak peek at what we’ve been working on:

🧲 3mm textured fridge magnets with vibrant, high-quality prints and a wee bit fun.

⚽ A full-colour football-themed slate clock, combining the best of both worlds – laser engraved first, then finished with stunning UV colour printing.

🎮 A Roblox-inspired portrait of my kids, printed onto a metal sheet. The colours and detail have turned out brilliantly!

🐮 And of course… we couldn’t resist creating a cute Highland coo on a natural log slice! 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

This is only the beginning. We’ve still got plenty of training, testing and experimenting to do, but the possibilities with this machine are incredible, and we can’t wait to start bringing even more unique, personalised products to A Crafty Wee Place.

Our brand-new EufyMake E1 UV Printer has arrived, opening up a whole new world of personalised products and allowing us to increase our production capacity.

I’ve started working on some design ideas to celebrate it (not waiting another 30 years for the chance 😂).

I’ve been working on something new recently — laser engraving photos onto natural stone — and I’m really pleased to finally have a result I can build on.

This piece is one of my latest tests, and I’d love to hear what you think. Your feedback really helps as I continue refining the process.

I’m always looking for ways to improve the quality of my work, and my next step will be experimenting with a clear protective coating to enhance both durability and finish.
