There's many facets to being a furniture upcycling artist, from sourcing the items, researching new products and methods, processing online orders...all of course while keeping up with social media too, and then there's the big girl stuff like tax returns!!

I tend to get overwhelmed easily 😂 like I'm sure a lot of us do with all the other crap we've got to take care of in general life, so I have a yearly ritual that is by September I've already done my tax return, so I can safely enjoy the rest of the year knowing I can go into a new one without thinking about boring paperwork!!

Now, my washing pile is as high as the French Alps but at least my self assessment is done for the year eh 😉...

Does anyone else have any more tips to help to keep the overwhelm at bay?!

Don't worry, I'm still here 😂... I've been quiet on the social media front but of course don't assume that means I've been having a relaxing time 👷🏻‍♀️🎨

I'm busy behind the scenes at the mo, and while you never can tell what I'll be working on next but I guarantee it'll involve paint in some shape or form 💚

A natural pallette can still bring uniqueness and fun! When you think of neutrals, especially as a maximalist like myself, you wouldn't necessarily think it could bring fun...but it absolutely can depending on what you add in terms of accessories!

This neutral colourway cloud painting would work perfectly with any style of decor, and any room within a home! Bedroom, bathroom, nursery, living room, office, you name it!

These personalised vintage tins always go down well as gifts and with a certain time of year coming up soon 🫣, I'm starting to think about organising myself a bit with the festive versions of these ✨🌲.

Meanwhile, I've just sourced a few more of the frilly design (top right) so will be adding them to the shop inventory soon!

Crafts on the kitchen island? Guilty 🫣! While I do actually have a workshop space to paint in, sometimes I just prefer to work in our cosy kitchen instead, cup of tea, slippers on and a bit of Netflix on in the background, perfection 🎨😆!
