The collage has moved to Gosport Borough Council and will be there until July 🥰

This entire project was funded by the GBC Community grant giving community groups and initiatives funds to make an impact. This collage is still making an impact today... 6 months after the project started.

The Our Gosport Story collage has moved again. This time to the wonderful spot of The Alverbank House Hotel... 🥰 this is the penultimate stop for all these fabulous Gosport stories before Gosport Borough Council in April and then to a permanent home... TBC 💕

If anyone has any suggestions for a permanent spot for this slice of Gosport fabulousness please tag in or comment.

Side note... 💔 We are now missing one of the storybooks from the collage after it's tour in GMAG. We understand it is very inspiring but the book is a collection of the stories of the people who contributed to the collage... 190 people. The book belongs with the collage to help people learn about it. If you would like to return it to GMAG or indeed Alverbank... we would very much like it back. 😁

The Our Gosport Story is up at Gosport Museum and Art Gallery 🙌🙌🙌

You can pop in to see and read about the 190 stories documented in the collage, and learn more about what Gosport means to our people.

GMAG are also launching their colour exhibition from 7th February so why not see both brilliant things at the same time. 💕

We are so thrilled by the engagement of the Our Gosport Story collage at Gosport Leisure Centre we have SO MANY lovely comments in the comments book too. 🌟

The real value of this project is this collage touring around and meeting all walks of lives! The project aim was to share our stories and this collage is definitely delivering on this!

Thanks to That's TV Solent TV for featuring the Our Gosport Community Collage, alongside one of our volunteers Sarah of Flamin Good Crafts.

This project was built from community, a Gosport Borough Council Community grant won by Annelies James of 22Midnight, a selection of supporters who gave out and collected the 190 squares, including the fab Sew Tribal 😍

The lovely volunteers who helped sew it together and now the locations who are proudly hosting it! So far... YourSpace, Gosport St Mary's Gosport Gosport Leisure Centre, Gosport Museum and Art Gallery and from March, the The Alverbank House Hotel

Gosport is a special place for community. Make sure you pop along and see it. 😁

Gosport community comes together to launch 'Our Gosport Story' collage and storybook 🎉🎉🎉

Gosport residents gathered in remarkable numbers for the official viewing party and launch of Our Gosport Story, a large-scale community collage and accompanying storybook celebrating the town’s shared memories, places and identities.

Such a fantastic Viewing Party for the Our Gosport Story collage launch!!! 🥰 Over 70 attendees made it out to take a look, take a photo, write a comment and download the storybook. 💞

Please do pop into YourSpace, Gosport to see it before it moves to St Mary's Church in Alverstoke on the 19th December.

WELL DONE everyone who created and shared a story and all those who helped in its creation particularly Flamin Good Crafts in Stoke Road and Sew Tribal 💫

Also thanks to GBC for the community grant that supported this project.

A great day sewing the collage together.... a grand total of 180 squares came in. Amazing work. 😁😁😁 Almost finalised and the book will be completed tomorrow too.
