Update: I took quite a bit of time off from crocheting completely. I rested my wrist/hand a lot along with icing, et cetera. I went to the doctors they examined me and booked me for blood tests and x-rays. The x-rays came back normal and all of my blood results were stable/normal. I now need to book another doctor‘s appointment to find out our next steps but over the last almost two weeks I have started to Crochet again. The pain in my wrist and hand isn’t constant anymore but since resting I have managed to work on my passive grip and now I’m crocheting again. I’m taking a lot more regular breaks to ensure that I don’t make the pain and swelling any worse
I started a jumper project for myself and a small blanket for a Christmas present. I’m also working on adding sleeves to a Hoodie which is something I haven’t done before. I am a little concerned that I’m taking too much on so I’m gonna work on one project at a time and I’ll likely Crochet every other day.
I don’t think I’ll be able to make amigurumi any time soon and anything intricate is extremely hard for me to do
In the future, I hope to get back to taking commissions and selling, but it has become quite apparent to me that I’ll have to limit the kind of things that I’ll be able to make; these will include blankets, jumpers, cardigans, hat, scarf, bandannas, and fingerless gloves. As I proceed with my new journey of conscious crocheting, I will call it. I may discover new things that I’m able to make without triggering a flareup.
I know this was a lot of information taken, so please enjoy some pretty pictures of my jumper project so far
