Weekend job completed by GK Painting Services ✅🎨

Fresh plaster throughout which needed a full mist coat before finishing, along with MDF wall panelling that was primed, undercoated and finished for a clean, sharp look.

Really happy with how this one turned out — the contrast between the wall colour and panelling works perfectly 👌

Big shout out to Streetly Home Improvements for the panelling work 👏 Great work as always.

🎨 GK Painting Services – Commercial Transformation 🎨

Last year we completed a full top-to-bottom redecoration at Christopher’s Caribbean Carvery, Bromsgrove 🇯🇲

Not many before photos, but this was a complete interior & exterior refresh. Inside, we redecorated the entire space using bold, vibrant colours, including the internal floors and bar area.

Bar and floor was stripped back to bare timber and re-stained, and the beer garden, handrails and car park barricades also refreshed.

Another exterior brought back to life by GK Painting Services! 🎨💪

This job started with scraping off all the old, flaking paint to get back to a solid surface. I then applied Dulux Stabilising Solution to seal and strengthen the base before moving on to the next stage.

Once the surface was prepped, I filled and repaired any imperfections to create a smooth, even finish. Finally, it was repainted with Dulux Weathershield, giving it a clean new look and long-lasting weather protection 🌧️☀️

🎨 Fresh Look, Classic Charm – The Hastings, Coventry! 🍻

We’ve just completed a full redecoration of The Hastings in Coventry, giving it a fresh new look inside and out while keeping its warm, welcoming charm.

Outside: The exterior has been refreshed with vibrant, weather-resistant paints, new signage, and carefully detailed trim, giving the pub a bold, inviting presence on the street.

Inside: We’ve transformed the interior with a clean, modern palette that still complements the pub’s character. Walls, ceilings, and woodwork have been expertly painted, creating a brighter, fresher atmosphere for patrons. Every corner has been treated with attention to detail – from the bar area to the cozy seating nooks.

The result is a pub that looks fantastic, feels fresh, and is ready to welcome locals and visitors alike.

🛠️ Job Spotlight 🛠️
Earlier this year, I had the pleasure of working on a full apartment makeover. I prepared, filled, sanded, primed, and painted the entire space to a clean, high-standard finish. The transformation really came together beautifully!

Full redec completed last week in North Wales 👷‍♂️🎨

This one was a big job – everything done apart from the floors and kitchen units.

✅ Ceilings, walls, bathrooms – all whitewashed for a bright, clean finish
✅ Tiles painted with satin tile paint – made a massive difference
✅ New staircase & all woodwork fully prepped: knotted, primed, undercoated and finished in satin
✅ Radiators painted to match the fresh new look
✅ Walls rubbed down and filled multiple times – loads of prep to get the finish just right
✅ Stain blocking done in key areas to stop anything bleeding through

Took some effort but the end result speaks for itself – clean, modern, and ready to go.

Another job completed by GK Decorating Services!

This one got a full refresh using Dulux Easycare Pebble Dash on the walls – a clean, modern grey that’s perfect for a fresh, neutral look.

Zinsser BIN was used to treat areas of damp and staining, giving a solid, sealed base before painting – no bleed-through, just a clean finish that lasts.

For the woodwork, I used Dulux Quick Dry Undercoat and finished with Dulux Quick Dry Satinwood to keep everything bright and white – no yellowing over time!

Job Completed Today:
Today I tackled a ceiling repair where there was a large hole needing attention. First, I patched the hole securely with plasterboard, carefully fixing it into place to create a solid base. Once fitted, I skimmed over the area with filler to achieve a smooth, seamless finish.

Before decorating, I had to deal with old water stains around the repair. I treated the stained areas with Zinsser BIN, a high-performance primer-sealer perfect for blocking stains. Once dry, I finished the job by applying Zinsser Perma-White over the whole area for a clean, durable, and mold-resistant topcoat.

Another repair finished to a high standard – ready to last for years to come!
