Shutters are one of those things that look simple but take real precision to get right. These were made to measure for every opening, painted in two tones with a solid oak trim separating the upper and lower sections and brass hinges throughout. Fold them back and you get the full window. Close them and the room transforms.

Here’s a play room dressing room and bench we did for a client last year. I hadn’t ever seen it fully painted / finished by the decorator until I popped over today.

It’s looking great and well used, as it will for years to come.

A bespoke bedroom wardrobe, designed to make the most of every inch.

Beautifully painted doors with a subtle arched detail create a timeless look, while behind the doors, oak interiors bring warmth and character.

Inside, we’ve incorporated hanging space, internal drawers, pull-out shoe shelves and integrated LED lighting. The design continues around the room with additional external drawers and open shelving, creating a practical dressing area without compromising on the overall feel.

Designed, made and installed by Great Tew Bespoke.

Bespoke Wall-Mounted Bookcases 📚

A pair of elegant wall-mounted bookcases, designed and made to sit perfectly within this beautiful country home.

Built with traditional detailing, including stepped cornices and plinths, adjustable shelving and a hand-painted finish to complement the room.

The proportions and detailing were kept deliberately simple, allowing the existing curtains, artwork and period features to remain the stars of the space.

Small pieces of joinery, but lots of detail in the making.

Making the most of every inch.

A bespoke under-stairs storage solution, designed and built to make use of what would otherwise be wasted space.

Featuring three large pull-out drawers with oak interiors, a matching cupboard and carefully designed shaker-style fronts, all made to follow the shape of the staircase perfectly.

Finished in a classic painted finish with natural oak interiors, creating plenty of practical storage while keeping the space clean and timeless.

Another project where good design and proper joinery turn an awkward space into something genuinely useful.

Bespoke fitted wardrobes made to work with the room, not against it. Cane / rattan inserts bring a bit of texture and light to the doors, and we made use of every last inch, right down to the awkward little eaves cupboard by the window. This is what we love about working in older Cotswolds homes: no two jobs are ever quite the same.

A bespoke bathroom vanity in dark stained oak with an arched door detail, scalloped base, stone worktop and undermount basin. The grain, the curves and that floor tile doing a lot of work together. Every element made to measure in our workshop.
