But first of all, let me introduce myself...
I am, by profession, a costume designer. I had the pleasure of working as a wardrobe assistant for documentary dramas for the BBC and Chanel 4, creating bespoke outfits for artists and organising my own fashion shows. All that before I became a full-time mother of three beautiful souls. š„°
Since then, I kept researching, designing, and sewing for a dance
group, school performances, as well as for individualsāin between drop-offs and pick-ups. As my children grew a bit older, I started my first after-school and half-term sewing clubs and mums' sewing morning sessions. Oh, what a pleasure it was to share my knowledge and to see smiling faces when a patchwork coaster (our first sewing project) was ready. Unfortunately, during lockdowns, everything had to be put on hold. But I kept making various crafts-as I have done since childhood. Crocheting, knitting, needle felting... In the meantime, my family circumstances have changed, and for the past two years I have been homeschooling our youngest son. He just started secondary school, so it's time for the next chapter in my life. Most likely, it will be filled with making ceramics. I have many ideas, so please watch this space!!!
