Rosewood & Moss When I weave I am inspired by the natural world and places that bring me feelings of stillness and harmony.

I am a tapestry weaver and dyer, weaving a sense of place...

Member of The British Tapestry Group and the West Surrey Guild of Spinners, Weavers and Dyers Each piece is infused with the essence of these places and emotions. I love using natural yarns, such as wool, silk, cotton, recycled fabric strips and alpaca. I use a mix of modern and traditional weaving techniques, and hand-dye yarn to create delicious tonal variations for the landscapes. I hope my work makes your heart sing and nourishes your soul, as it does mine…

Tapestry artists Jane Brunning and Margaret Jones have two quite different styles of interpreting the landscape, but they work so beautifully together in one space - on until 27th Sept - well worth a visit if you can!

Very, very chuffed that 'Seven Sisters' has been selected for the South Downs Open exhibition at Petersfield Museum and Art Gallery, from 10th October through to 13th March next year.

The South Downs Open at Petersfield Museum and Art Gallery celebrates what it means to live, work and be inspired by this iconic landscape. It will exhibit 183 artworks by 165 artists who are inspired by the South Downs region. We celebrate the beauty of the South Downs with an exciting range of paintings, prints, photography, textiles, ceramics, sculpture, mixed media, and contemporary craft that draw inspiration from across the South Downs region, from Old Wi******er Hill in Hampshire to Beachy Head in East Sussex. From sweeping views of Butser Hill, Old Wi******er Hill and the Seven Sisters to imaginative interpretations of chalk downland, flora, fauna and local history, this year's exhibition showcases the incredible diversity of artistic responses inspired by the South Downs.

It was so interesting weaving with a group from Refugees Welcome Hounslow. We translated a handful of weaving terms to the Dari and Pashto languages (with help of our lovely interpreter and a lady who was a rug weaver and embroiderer back in Afghanistan), and chatted about their homeland to inspire some poems to display alongside their weavings.
