🌱Join and I for a Spring Foray
& wild food event on Saturday 9 May from 10.00 - 14.00.🌱
See first photo for info.

We will meet at a lovely, peaceful location near Gifford and, following a refreshing cup of wild tea, enjoy a 2-2 1/2 wander through the local woods and hedgerows - discussing the abundance of wild plants and fungi that are available at this special time of year 💚.

This is followed by 1 1/2 - 2hrs round the fire pit back at camp where we will give a summary of the plants and fungi we have encountered on our walk and offer a tasting menu which will include many of these - complimented by wild inspired soft drinks and teas.
We hope this will give you a good overview of how much delicious food it is possible to make from foraged finds.

We will also explain more about safe foraging and explore some reliable and high quality foraging resources.

This will be a truly memorable day which will hopefully inspire you to, and make you more confident in, using foraged ingredients in your daily cooking.

Happy Easter 🐣
Beech & Birch is open as usual.
The 3 brick moulds I planted up today sold in 20 mins 😵‍💫 - thank you 🙏.
I will do another 2 or 3 (depending on bulb availability) for tomorrow.

The wonderfully useful and versatile vintage Indian birch moulds are back in stock - they are the most brilliant storage and display boxes!
AND, I have left it a bit late, but I shall do my best to make up a few of these Spring flower arrangements again this year💚.
Hopefully for sale in the shop from tomorrow (Friday).
They are perfect a non chocolatey hostess or Easter gift.

A few of the many lovely Spring items that have arrived in the shop (and online 🎉).

My shop in Gifford is open 7 days a week.

Come out for lunch café or at The Tweeddale Hotel, which has just been taken over by the Finlay’s who also have the Waterside in Haddington.
Go for a walk amongst the wood anemones in and pop to shop to stock up on all sorts of lovely food - or have a coffee in their cosy snug 💛💚.
