I’ve been reflecting on Thursday’s event ever since ✨
The event was held in Birmingham, which meant a 3h drive each way. I got home at 3am… and just a few hours later, life carried on as normal.
➡️ Up before 7am to get one child ready for a school trip and the other off on her DofE camping adventure.
➡️ My amazing team headed to London to collect furniture and complete a de-staging project.
➡️ I spent the day catching up on work, recharging where I could and reflecting on everything I’d taken away from the event.
And honestly? I wouldn’t change a thing.
Because sometimes people see the event, the photos and the highlights, but not the early mornings, the long drives, the planning, the commitments or everything happening behind the scenes.
The theme of the event was Unapologetically Visible and it really resonated with me.
Not because visibility means having everything figured out or being perfect.
It’s about showing up anyway.
Showing up when you’re tired.
Showing up when life is busy.
Showing up before you feel ready.
As a business owner.
As a mum.
As yourself.
One quote that helped me so much at the beginning of my journey was:
“Do what you can, with what you have, where you are.” Theodore Roosevelt
I think that’s what being unapologetically visible is really about.
Not waiting for perfect circumstances. Not waiting until everything is easier.
Just taking the next step with what you have right now.
Because most women building businesses aren’t doing it under perfect conditions. They’re doing it while raising families, managing responsibilities, overcoming challenges and still finding the courage to keep going.
