Let me help you take some of the guesswork out of choosing the perfect sofa because one of the things we can do for you is create a floor plan of your room, showing you how our different sofa styles and sizes would work in your space. It can be such a tricky decision when you’re trying to imagine how everything will fit, particularly with our bespoke sofas. We can show you a few different options so you can see how the space would feel with each one, and hopefully make that decision a little bit easier.

And the lovely thing is that our floor planning service is completely free. Come and have a little look at our six sofas. They’re all rather different and I thought it might be lovely to show you a little bit of each one and the different ways they can look in a home.

Some are deep and wonderfully squashy, some are a little more upright and made for stretching out on. One of them is even based on a sofa my dad designed about 40 years ago which makes it particularly special to me.

We make all our sofas by hand in the UK and the US,and you can choose absolutely everything from the size and shape to the filling and fabric. We have a lovely variety of fabrics to choose from so there really is something for everyone. We also make sectionals, sofa beds and coffee tables.

And if you’re hoping for a new sofa for Christmas, now is a good time to choose one so there's plenty of time to make it especially for you. Just imagine everyone gathered around it over the holidays, with a mince pie or two.

Every sofa we make begins life on the same beautifully made frame, but what it becomes from there is entirely up to you.

You might go for a bold floral or a cheerful stripe, a tailored cover or a relaxed loose one. Then there's the piping, the cushions, the little bows at the back and the legs it stands on. All the lovely details that make a sofa feel like it has always belonged in your home.

There’s rather a lot more to a sofa than meets the eye.

Our sofas are made by hand in our workshops in both the UK and the US, and we take the same care with what’s underneath as we do with what you see.

The sofa featured here is our Sophia. She is handcrafted in the UK using traditional techniques, with a hardwood frame that is dowelled, glued and screwed for lifelong integrity. Her serpentine springs provide comfort and long-term support, while the seat cushion has a foam core wrapped in a 70% feather and 30% down blend, giving her that lovely, welcoming feel while still holding her shape beautifully.

The details matter too. From the hand-finished piping to the turned wooden legs, every part is carefully made and finished by skilled craftspeople.

So while the fabric and the shape might be the first things you notice, it’s all the craftsmanship underneath that makes a sofa feel the way it does - comfortable, supportive and made to last.

I always say there’s no such thing as too many flowers. So it was only ever a matter of time before they found their way onto the furniture too.

Our floral collection has a little of everything. Midsummer and Peony are soft, romantic and timeless. English Garden Albertine has that classic country-house feeling, while Wildwood is brighter and more whimsical. Then there are the bolder ones - Magnolia, Nympheus and Kitty - full of colour and personality, and Berrington, our rather wonderful vintage chintz.

They are all printed on linen and each brings its own character to a room. The difficult part is choosing just one.

Hello! I thought I’d show you our Coco sofa bed, dressed for the day and then ready for the night - swipe through to see both. It’s a really lovely, comfortable sofa in its own right, but when you need an extra bed it opens out into a proper double bed.

The sofa is handmade using natural materials and has a high quality folding bed mechanism, with a choice of fully sprung, pocket sprung or memory foam mattresses. The mattress is 130–135mm thick, so it’s designed to give you a really comfortable night’s sleep too.

We can make the Coco sofa bed in different sizes and, as with our other sofas, you can choose from our collection of fabrics and finishes. We can also make it in your own fabric if there’s something special you’d like to use.

Hello, one of the things I love most about our sofas is that the covers simply come off. All our sofas are handmade from natural materials, wonderfully comfortable and built to last a lifetime. The loose covers can be removed and washed, making them perfect for busy family homes and four-legged friends alike.

These sofas are shown here in Wildwood Ivory and Wildwood Duck Egg, both finished with a contrast velvet trim. Many of our customers order more than one cover so they can have a completely different look within their room.

Isn't it funny who always finds the comfiest seat first?

A sofa ought to be lived on. Curled up on by sleepy dogs, borrowed by kids and, every now and then claimed by curious lambs. The only thing I can't promise is that you'll ever get your favourite spot back.

Some of our fabrics are machine washable and others are best dry cleaned. But all our sofa covers are removable, so they can be cared for properly over the years.
