Well these Parker Knolls in tartan certainly tested my brain but a fabulous outcome in the end. Curves and lines are a tricky combo but I always enjoy a challenge! 🤯

My lovely customers got these for a bargain on eBay and stripped them, restained the wood and then it was over to me to transform them.
This fabric from Cristina Marrone Fabrics was a dream to work with and fits the room decor perfectly .
These Parker knolls will now live on for a long time yet. It’s so important we save these iconic pieces of furniture, they were built to last!

I have 3 of these beautiful Linwood fabric velvet Bolster cushions for sale .
Bolsters are a fabulous and modern way to dress your sofa, you can position down the side or in front of other cushions .
Also a great way to add some pattern and colour!

Lampshades can come in all shapes and sizes to suit your design and room shape.

Here I made some bedside lamps suspended from brackets. The room needed large scale pieces because of its proportions, and it also means you have more space on your bedside table!

Adding a coloured cable and a bit of fringing it really adds a feature to the room.

I’ve tried to post this all day!! But here finally is the secret revealed…

We cut it in half ( well 1/3 and 2/3rds to be precise) Sounds simple doesn’t it!

With the amazing expert knowledge of John at MLG Upholstery LTD (who does this a lot) we stripped the sofa 1/3 of the way on site and cut it all the way through so we had 2 pieces. As it was a spring unit it gave us an extra challenge to fit it through the doorway, but luckily it’s bendy!
We gave it a test fit and was spot on. So John put it back together for me and off to my workroom it went.

I could only recover it 2/3rds of the way as it needed to be disassembled again, moved in to the room, then reassembled and finished off.

So that’s what we did, John reinforced it so it was as good as new and I spent the day finishing the sofa off in situ.

It was certainly a challenge but shows nothing is impossible!

A beautiful jewel Teal Duresta sofa recently recovered for our lovely customer using Cristina Marrone Fabrics cambio velvet.

Duresta are masters of traditional techniques and craftsmanship and use the finest materials. Their sofas are an investment to last a lifetime. So if you ever come across one they are worth reupholstering! This one was no exception.

But not all is what it seems…

I’ll leave you with a cliffhanger and tomorrow I’ll reveal the journey we had with this sofa, as there was a ‘slight’ issue being that it wouldn’t fit inside the house and the windows were not removable.

But like magic our customer is now enjoying her sofa in the lounge so how did we do it!?…..

Nothing has to be boring in your home! Even a computer chair can be revamped!

Our customer found this amazing quality computer chair second hand and we revamped it in a Warwick Fabrics UK Ltd wool fabric to match their study decor ( in situ photos to come)

As you can see in the before photos it was a bit worn and dated but now all fresh and modern ✨

Here are the 2 lampshades we made for our lovely customer in their full glory.

You can see the before photo with the pink lamp base and flowery shade and the little pink shade , our customer repainted the floor lamp base grey to match their decor and we swapped the shape of the frame. Then stripped down the little pink table shade ( see photos)
The leopard shade sits on a mouseman antique table lamp base bringing new and old together .
All customers own fabrics.

We can provide new shades in all sorts of shapes or strip old frames ❤️

Ooooo this is a bit of me!!! Our most recent lampshade comission and I wanted to keep it!

I love making these as it’s very relaxing to do and theres just so many fabulous possibilities with trims and fabrics.

Just one lampshade can transform a room or even be your starting point for all your decor!

✨Roman blinds✨

Here’s a few different Roman blinds we’ve created recently, they can really add a lot of softness and interest to a room if you don’t have space for curtains or want a more modern and streamlined look.

We can match the chains to your hardware and add details such as trims and borders too!

We can add interlining for warmth and a more luxurious plump look and/or blackout to get that little bit more sleep.
