End of Season bargains! 🧡

Now the summer weather seems to be well and truly over, it seems a perfect time to offer some really good discounts on a few of the mirrors that haven't yet found their person.

Last time I posted something for sale on here, I quickly received several comments and messages from AI bots who, though convincing at first, started using phrases like 'yes ma'am' and 'I'm out of town, can my son collect this', and it all got rather strange, so it'll be interesting to see how this post goes - maybe I should have some sort of codeword that only real people understand!!! 😂

I'll put the info, sizes, prices etc in the comments of each individual photo. Please feel free to share with anyone who may be interested, and let me know if you have any questions (as long as you're not a bot)!!!!

Do you know a cricket fan? Maybe they'd like a bat mirror! 🏏

These mirrors are made from genuine cricket bats, and feature either stumps or an umpire design, and a leather ball.

They can be stamped with a name or date.

There are two options, luxury English willow for those wanting something really special, or Kashmir willow for a more affordable choice.

Alternatively, if you have an old bat laying - maybe the one they used to score their first hundred, I can get it cleaned up, a new grip added if necessary, then add the mirror, ball and any personalisation for a truly unique gift. Just make sure they don't want to use it for playing anymore!! 🤣

Do you remember the fanlights with the little garden birds that I showed you last week? 🐦‍⬛

They have now been installed in a conservatory, either side of a French door set, bringing some character and colour to the space.

I ordered a new display stand for my upcoming stalls at the Christmas markets, to give them a bit of height so I can show more of my creations without them becoming too cluttered. 🧡

It's arrived flat packed, with instructions in badly translated English, and a random cloth glove - just the one! The furry apprentice is 'helping' - wish me luck!!!!! 😳🤣

New pendants just waiting for their chains! 💖

All made from various fancy stained glasses and mirrors, some of which have been discontinued so are very limited stock.

Lots of sparkle, glitter, iridescence, textures and colours - something for everyone!

Some have Swarovski crystals and various other embellishments, others are kept simple so you can appreciate the stunning beauty of the glass. 💙

Each one is unique, and the sizes range from a tiny 12x18mm to 25x75mm for folks who like to make a bold statement!

They'll be priced individually, and will be as affordable as possible!

Today is Hastings Day! Marking 960 years since the Battle of Hastings. 🤎

Here are a few Battle Abbey mirrors I have created over the years.

Some from the Heritage collection featuring etchings from the Victorian era. It amazes me how talented craftspeople were, incorporating so much detail without any modern technology to help.

I've spent most of today grinding!! 😂❤️

This is how I prepare the little pieces of mirror and stained glass to be made into necklaces.

The diamond coated grinding wheel removes all the sharp edges so they can be comfortably worn.

I've taken on board all your comments and have made a whole range of different sizes and glass types. Some will have Swarovski crystals added for an extra bit of bling, others will be left plain for a more understated look.

It's a long time since I've made jewellery, and I love being able to use the more luxurious materials - I can get away with this while still keeping them affordable as they are so tiny in comparison to my other creations!

Before and after! 🧡

A staircase up to a loft conversion, which presented a few challenges with fire regulations. 🔥

This internal window is between the stairway and the bathroom. Obviously nobody wants an audience while in the bath so I added loads of different textures and colours to ensure privacy.

The yellows and oranges have created a lovely warm light on the landing.

Sorry I haven't posted in the last couple of days. I haven't forgotten you, but it was my birthday so I've had some time out from the studio! 💙

Today I went with my husband for a walk along Pett Level.

I love this place for many reasons - the stunningly beautiful vista, with sea worn wooden defences, the small section of sandy beach - the only one nearby as far as I know, the azure blue sea and sky, the overhanging cliffs, and the ultra modern architect designed houses juxtaposed against tiny traditional cabins.

This beach has inspired me for more years than I care to remember! The third photo shows a piece I made at university featuring a photo of Pett Level beach, back when the wooden posts ran along the whole length.
