Beautiful Crop Circle cards were swapped out and posted this morning!! I LOVE the little aliens 😆
There are so many interesting textures in these cards too, everyone has been exceptionally creative.

There are still spaces on my day Seashell workshop at The-Stitchery Shop in Lewes. Come and join me to learn how to layer fabrics, stitch on real shells, make anenomes with furnishing tassels, destroy trimmings to make them look beachy and stitch everything together!!

It’s such a fun workshop, you don’t have to be experienced in embroidery and you get delicious coffee and cake!!

Next on my WIPs to finish list is this Kaffe Fassett print Stitchscape! I’m currently going up and down different layers trying to colour balance it better and fill in some gaps.

The green beads did come out and I had a final rummage through my stash and came up trumps with a really cool metallic DMC thread in a muted rainbow which I think works brilliantly! I’ve put a single strand over my vertical stitches above the halfway line, and also some among the tulips at the bottom to help balance it. Then went back over my tree forms with a darker green and single strand, two twist French knots to hint at leaves. Plus fly stitch birds!

Sometimes things just need to hang around in your bag for a while until inspiration strikes!

I’m feeling very chuffed with myself because, for once, the cards were finished well on time. Last week in fact!

These are my Crop Circle pieces which have moss stitch fluffy circles, with running and whipped running stitch around them and seed stitch inside them.

Question - with or without the extra green beads at the bottom?

This Stitchscape has been hanging around in my travel bag for months (maybe a year) and I’m determined to finish it. I’m in a quandry over what it needs though, I feel it needs something else. I’ve added these beautiful green beads at the bottom but I don’t think I like them, thoughts? Perhaps I need something slightly darker happening in the top half to balance the darkness? What do you reckon?
