This week I’ve been waaay too busy and far too wet to take photos 🤦♂️😂😂 … apart from this one right at the very end! 😂😂
But we’ve completed a substantial fascia and guttering restoration project on a lovely property in Burbage.
🔨 Fascia Repairs & Replacement
• Cut out and replaced approximately 12 metres of deteriorated timber fascia.
• Carefully matched all existing mouldings, hand-scribing and routing profiles on site to maintain the property’s original character.
• Installed, treated and finished new timber to blend seamlessly with the existing details.
🌧️ Commercial Guttering Restoration
• Repaired a discontinued commercial guttering system, replacing all joints, corners and outlets.
• Reset and solvent-welded all 110mm downpipes to ensure a watertight and reliable drainage system.
• Successfully sourced obsolete parts and spares from suppliers who still had a few tucked away, with some extras left over for the customer’s spare parts tub.
🏠 Additional Guttering & Fascia Upgrades
• Removed approximately 22 metres of standard half-round guttering.
• Replaced sections of fascia with new treated and painted 250mm timber fascia boards.
• Installed all-new guttering throughout, providing a durable and long-lasting finish.
A challenging project requiring traditional joinery skills, careful sourcing of discontinued components, and plenty of attention to detail to preserve the property’s appearance while upgrading its rainwater system.
Next stop on this property: a full scrape down and repaint of all the fascias to the main house. 🎨🏡
It’s been one of those weeks where the weather has tried its best to slow us down, but we’re getting there one job at a time! 💪🌧️😂
