I've taken the next big step in making my ideas a reality, my first in-person event!

I was very lucky to win a place to have my first stall with my brilliant supporters at Where Inspiration Blooms at the lovely Harvest Festival at Oxmoor Farm this bank holiday weekend.

We were in the milking shed which was turned into a cosy space for people to browse local makers' work and take part in workshops, visitors braved the not insignificant rain to see us, hear talks and listen to local musicians, make bouquets, do yoga and eat lovely woodfired fayre.

Thank you to everyone who helped to make it possible, those who organised, supported, visited, chatted and offered kind words, to my fellow makers and of course to those customers who bought some of my first pieces from me this weekend. You really helped me to see that I can make something of this and I'm so excited to take my next big steps. I'd love to give a huge thank you to Jools who was my first ever customer and to another customer who has shown an interest in buying more of my pieces the day after the event - my first return customer! I'm so grateful.

I also think I ate the most amazing pain au chocolat I've ever had - so all in all, an amazing weekend! 🌾 x

A little trip yesterday to Hatton Garden for silver supplies!

Hand made ceramic necklaces available tomorrow at Oxmoor Farm, all thanks to Where Inspiration Blooms.

I will shortly be launching my website and after the event some of my pieces will be available to buy online - it's been an exciting and very busy week! 🌾

I've been squirrelling away this week preparing to attend my first event!

I managed to do a little magic making 🪄 ... it's so much quicker than carving by hand!

I've been putting some new small items together which I'm trying to squeeze into a single firing (something I've not tried before!) to try and beat the clock for this weekend. Hopefully the kiln goddesses are kind 🤞

I'll share more when they are done and all being well they will be available at Oxmoor Farm this coming Saturday at their Harvest Festival - you can buy tickets for the event on their website - there will be music, food, flowers, crafts and a brilliant makers market all in a gorgeous setting 🌾

I've been quietly making these little dishes this last week, working on new designs and building some sets.

These have been hand shaped, painted and carved and now they are almost ready for their first firing. I'll have several of each design in 3 sizes; small, dinky and tiny!

Enjoy checking out a little bit of the joy of a good kiln opening and fun test runs! Sharing a bit of a kiln opening, kinda like a live, but not live, with some added close ups of some of my little dishes.

These little dishes will be available soon! Use them for rings, things, bits and bobs, treasures from your little people and anything else you can think of. Perfect for dotting around the house!

They started as an idea for glaze tests, but have transformed into makes all of their own. I'm planning on turning these into some pretty jewellery.

The question is... leather or silver chains?!
