Let the fun begin! 🎨
1 of 4 farmyard miniatures is here… meet my fluffy, loved-up alpaca 💕
She’s the first in a new set I’m creating for my solo exhibition this August at Baldock Arts & Heritage Centre, Baldock
Three more miniatures to go… and the next one will be either a chicken or a donkey ✏️

Bramble the Red Fox Lab is complete 🧡✨
It’s been such an honour to draw this beautiful boy for a second time. Here he is at 10 months old, with those adorable dandelion seeds and all the little details that make him uniquely Bramble. 🐾
Creating pet portraits is always special, but being trusted to capture a beloved companion more than once means so much to me.
Swipe to see the reference photo alongside the finished portrait, plus some close-up details. ➡️
I’d love to know what you think of him in the comments below. 🧡

The dandelion incident, immortalised.
Coloured pencil portrait of Bramble the red fox Lab, with an oil pastel background. Caught red-nosed and loving it.
What would your dog’s immortalised moment look like?

Bramble’s portrait journey is almost complete… ✨

The final details are coming together – refining his collar and carefully adding those delicate whiskers with my slice tool.

Next up: creating the background with oil pastels. 🎨

Keep an eye out for the next reel, where I’ll share how to create a background and reveal the finished portrait. 🐾

From my very first hare drawing in 2020, to another in 2022 and now my latest in 2026… what a journey it’s been! ✏️🐇

Looking back at older work can feel a little daunting, but it’s also a wonderful reminder of how much practice, patience and perseverance can achieve.

I’d love to know what you think. Can you see the progress? Which hare is your favourite – 2020, 2022 or 2026?

The last of the set.
Three little Field Mice, all in a row.

This completes my first woodland miniature quartet: Fox, Squirrel, Hare and now the Mice. Each one is 5 x 5 inches, coloured pencil.

I’ll share all four together once they’re framed for the exhibition. For now, the mice get their own moment.

Are you team Fox, Squirrel, Hare or Mice?

There’s something special about seeing a piece find its wall. Wilbur will be heading to Broadway Gallery, Letchworth Letchworth and Mavis & Hilda are off to the Eagle Gallery Open Exhibition in Bedford.

Each of these characters has so much personality in their eyes — it’s what I love most about drawing animals. To have them out in the world, alongside work from incredible local artists, means the world.

If you’re nearby 20th–27th June, I’d love for you to pop in and meet them.

📍 Eagle Gallery, 20 St Peter’s Street, Bedford

Wheelchair access available.

Swipe to see them close up 🐑 🐮

I’m thrilled to be taking part in the Letchworth Open Exhibition 2026 and Wilbur will be there waiting to greet visitors! 🐷💛

The exhibition celebrates artists of all ages and experience levels, bringing together an incredible variety of artwork from across Hertfordshire and the surrounding counties.

Who’s coming along? 😊

Bramble’s nose drawn entirely in coloured pencil ✏️
2 hour of burnishing, layering and obsessing over every little detail.

Red Fox Labs have a lovely nose texture — warm browns, soft pinks, that leathery highlight…

All done with coloured pencils & patience!

What should I draw of Bramble next? 🤔
