A Bathroom Transformation ✨

Sometimes the biggest transformation comes from simply rethinking how a space is used.

For this bathroom, the bath was rarely used, so we removed it and replaced it with a generous walk-in shower. The result? A bathroom that feels so much larger, more spacious and far more practical for the client’s everyday life.

I wanted to create a calm, inviting space with plenty of warmth and character. The walls are painted in Farrow & Ball Tailor Tack, a beautiful soft pink, while the door is picked out in the contrasting Little Greene Blush Pink, adding another layer of warmth and personality.

And then there’s that blind… 🤍 The stunning Liberty print brings pattern, colour and a touch of English charm to the room, beautifully balancing the simplicity of the rest of the scheme.

The Zellige White Gloss tiles, inspired by traditional Moroccan craftsmanship, add subtle variations in tone and texture, giving the walls that gorgeous handcrafted, artisanal feel. No two tiles are quite the same, which adds depth and character without overwhelming the space.

Beautiful brass accents, warm dark wood and plenty of natural texture complete the scheme, creating a bathroom that feels relaxed, luxurious and wonderfully inviting.

A reminder that you don't always need a bigger room — sometimes you just need to make better use of the space you have. ✨

Creating a welcoming open-plan Airbnb ✨

One of my favourite parts of this Stage & Style project was bringing this large open-plan space together.

Incorporating the living room, kitchen and dining area, it was really important to create a sense of flow while still giving each zone its own identity. In a large open-plan room, thoughtful zoning is key to making the space feel welcoming, comfortable and homely rather than sparse or disconnected.

Lighting plays a huge part in this. The beautiful pendant lights over the dining table help to define the dining area and create a more intimate atmosphere — perfect for sitting down to enjoy a relaxed dinner with friends and family.

And when it comes to a high-end Airbnb, styling really matters. It's not just about making the space look beautiful in photographs; it's about helping potential guests visualise themselves enjoying the property.

A beautifully dressed dining table, ready for a dinner party, adds that extra layer of storytelling and helps create the feeling of a home away from home. ✨

For this West Sussex holiday let, every detail was carefully considered to create a stylish, comfortable and inviting space designed to appeal to the high-end short-term rental market.

✨ Words that mean so much… ✨

There’s nothing I love more than helping a client take an idea they’ve had in their head and turn it into a home they absolutely love. 🤍

So receiving this wonderful testimonial was incredibly special.

“Andrea is professional, but you also feel like you just have your super-knowledgeable friend helping out.”

And honestly, that’s exactly how I want my clients to feel. Interior design should be exciting and enjoyable — not another source of stress or something that takes up precious time and headspace.

From guiding design decisions and sourcing furniture and finishes, to keeping an eye on budgets and liaising with trades, my aim is always to take away the heavy lifting while making sure your vision remains at the heart of everything we do.

I particularly loved hearing that the client felt I had successfully balanced high-end pieces with more budget-friendly finds. Creating a beautiful, cohesive space isn’t about spending the most money — it’s about knowing where to invest and where to save.

And this part really made me smile:

“Nothing was ever too much or too little for her to handle on my behalf. Just first-class service from start to finish.”

Thank you so much for taking the time to share such lovely words. It was an absolute pleasure to work with you. 🥰

If you’re thinking about transforming your home but don’t have the time, confidence or inclination to manage it all yourself, I’d love to help.

Making an open-plan space feel cosy 🤍🌿

Open-plan rooms are wonderful for entertaining and family life, but they can sometimes feel a little too open — especially when you want your living space to feel cosy and inviting.

For this project, the aim was to create a sense of warmth and connection while giving each area its own purpose.

I used furniture and carefully chosen soft furnishings to zone the different spaces, creating a more intimate and comfortable feel without closing the room off.

The colour palette brings everything together, with soft greens, warm rust tones and natural neutrals. Beautiful fabrics from Harlequin and The Pure Edit add layers of colour, pattern and texture, while the rug helps to ground the seating area and adds another layer of warmth underfoot.

The addition of plants brings softness and a little touch of nature into the room, complementing the green tones beautifully.

And the backdrop to it all? Little Greene Slaked Lime — one of those wonderfully versatile warm neutrals that works so beautifully in a light-filled space like this.

The result is an open-plan room that still feels spacious and bright, but now has that all-important feeling of cosiness, comfort and somewhere you actually want to curl up and stay awhile. 🌿

If your open-plan space feels a little disconnected or lacks warmth, sometimes it doesn't need a complete redesign — it just needs the right zoning, colour, texture and layers.

Creating warmth in an open-plan space 🤎

As part of this high-end Airbnb Stage & Style project, one of the key challenges was making this large open-plan space feel warm, inviting and homely, rather than cold and stark.

The clients wanted to keep the existing white walls and grey carpet, so the transformation had to come through colour, texture, layering and thoughtful styling.

I chose two beautiful sofas from Sofa.com — one in a gorgeous rust tone and the other in a softly textured cream fabric. Together, they create a relaxed and inviting seating area, while bringing warmth and contrast into the space.

I then introduced ILIV fabrics, pairing rich rust tones with soft neutrals to create a cohesive, sophisticated palette. The existing stone feature wall was another great asset, adding natural texture and interest, while touches of black throughout the room echo the striking black frames of the large bifold doors.

Finally, it was all about the layers — soft furnishings, cushions, lamps, artwork, plants and carefully chosen accessories — bringing personality and that all-important feeling of home.

✨ The result is a space that feels luxurious but comfortable, considered but not overly styled, and most importantly, somewhere guests will want to relax and stay awhile.

This is why I love the power of styling. You don't always need to change the bones of a room to completely change how it feels.

A calm and welcoming Airbnb bedroom 🌿

When styling this Airbnb bedroom, the aim was to create a space that felt relaxed, welcoming and beautifully considered — somewhere guests could walk into and instantly feel at home.

I worked with the existing Farrow & Ball Vert de Terre a lovely soft, earthy green that brings a sense of calm and works beautifully with the natural, neutral tones throughout the room.

Layering was key here — crisp white bedding, soft linen textures, tonal cushions, a textured throw and carefully chosen artwork all work together to create a bedroom that feels comfortable rather than overly styled.

For a holiday let, I think the little details really matter. Fresh, inviting bedding, beautifully folded towels, thoughtful accessories and a cohesive colour palette can make such a difference to the guest experience — and, importantly, help create those photographs that make potential guests want to book. 🤍

There’s something so special about a beautiful entrance hall — it’s the first glimpse of a home and sets the tone for everything beyond. ✨

For this project, I wanted to create a welcoming, light and airy entrance with a real sense of calm and understated luxury.

The show-stopping Pooky chandelier takes centre stage, while the half-glazed doors allow the natural light to flow beautifully through the space, drawing your eye towards the gorgeous apex windows and the interiors beyond.

Every detail was considered, from the furniture and lighting to the styling and natural textures, creating a warm and elegant welcome into my clients’ home.

A space designed not just to look beautiful, but to make you feel at home from the moment you walk through the door. 🤍

A little peek into one of my favourite bedrooms 🤎🌿

A beautiful mix of pattern, colour and texture, with classic William Morris wallpaper setting the scene and carried through onto the bed. I’ve layered this with Andrew Martin cushions and an Ian Mankin ticking stripe headboard to create a relaxed, timeless and welcoming feel.

I love how the soft pink panelling brings warmth to the room while allowing the beautiful botanical print to really shine.

And of course… Bertie has made himself very comfortable! 🐾😂 Clearly the ultimate seal of approval for a gorgeous bedroom. 🤎

A little bedroom transformation with plenty of pattern and personality…

This is a bedroom I designed for one of my clients, where I carefully selected a collection of beautiful Charlotte Gaisford fabrics to create a feminine, warm and inviting space.

I love how the different patterns work together — from the statement cushions to the beautiful pink and green fabrics. Mixing patterns can feel a little daunting, but when the colours complement each other and there is a common thread running through the scheme, they can create a space full of character without feeling overwhelming.

The soft pink walls provide a lovely backdrop, while the layers of pattern, texture and colour give the room a cosy and beautifully individual feel. 💗💚

A bedroom should feel personal, comfortable and somewhere you genuinely look forward to retreating to at the end of the day — and I think this scheme does exactly that.

What do you think? Are you a fan of mixing patterns in your home?
