Annie and The Hooks is closing down but we still have lots of lovely yarny goods available to buy before we close our doors one last time.

The studio will be open on Saturday 23rd and Sunday 24th May, 10am - 2pm each day.

Join me for a final Summer Solstice Secret Garden Gathering — a morning of creativity, connection, and slow living, as we also celebrate a heartfelt farewell to Annie and The Hooks.

Bring your crochet, knitting, or favourite gentle craft, along with a picnic blanket or chair, and enjoy soft cottage-core charm, crafting, laughter, and community in a beautiful secret garden location revealed the day before the event.

Come along to stitch, chat, create, and soak up the magic of the longest day of the year…

Dear Friends of Annie and The Hooks,

Today I write a farewell to my long term journey, of a wonderful 10 years, to Annie and The Hooks.

It has been an honour and a joy to have been able to teach and share with so many people, of all ages, my passion for crochet. We have built an incredible community together and I am so grateful you chose me to be your teacher. You have given me so much joy!

I have been so lucky to have had cheerleaders, supporters and customers who have come back again and again; thank you for trusting my teachings, for booking workshops, socials and for every word of encouragement 🧡

As with all small businesses, it has been at times exhausting, yet incredibly rewarding, a challenging yet fulfilling journey; I have learnt so much through this chapter of my life; I have definitely challenged my self belief, through many wobbles! Now,I feel this season of my life has come to a natural close. I am ready to leave on a high and a positive note and to tend to my home, family and my creativity.

I would love to invite you to our Annie and The Hooks farewell on Saturday June 20th, on our annual Summer Solstice Gathering. It’s only right that after 10 years we celebrate our wonderful community. I will share more about this another day.

In the meantime, I plan to take a nice long break over the Summer. Enjoy some time to be creative and inspired, to reacquaint myself with my art. Then we will see what seeds may grow next..

Flowers and Yarn 🥰🥰

Walking along a road in Edinburgh last night and this beautiful Rhododendron caught my eye. It reminded me instantly of the gorgeous Suri Alpaca lace yarn I am knitting with from . I couldn’t resist a quick photo. Stunning 🩷🩷
