A bright, refreshing blend of grapefruit and sweet orange.

🅱️ Sunshine Sorbet
Sweet orange, grapefruit and mandarin combine for a juicy citrus treat.

🅲️ Lavender Clouds
Relaxing lavender softened with a touch of sweet orange.

🅳️ Berry Blossom
A beautiful blend of rose geranium, sweet orange and grapefruit.

🅴️ Pink Lemonade
A zesty mix of lemon, sweet orange and grapefruit.

🅵️ Bloom & Breeze
Lavender, grapefruit and sweet orange create a fresh, uplifting scent.

These samples were part of my testing for some exciting new Foaming Bath Salt Gift Cups. I’ve been experimenting with colours, fragrance strength and foam levels to create a fun and luxurious bath-time treat.

Thank you to everyone who visited my stall at the Laxfield 800 Market today! 🎉

The weather may not have been quite what we’d hoped for, but that certainly didn’t dampen anyone’s spirits. It was wonderful to see so many people out supporting local businesses and celebrating 800 years of Laxfield Market.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by to browse, sample scents, make a purchase, or simply have a chat. Your support means so much to a small local business like mine.

There was a fantastic atmosphere throughout the morning, with some brilliant costumes, friendly faces, and plenty of community spirit on display.

Thank you to the organisers, volunteers, fellow traders, and visitors for making it such a special event.

An evening of colour, scent and plenty of note-taking here at Sal’s Soapary! 🧪✨

I’m testing something new and trying out a range of different colours and fragrance blends to see which combinations work best.

Some will make the cut, some might need tweaking, and a few may go back to the drawing board altogether – that’s all part of the fun of creating new products!

Behind the Scenes Today…

A day of local connections and Suffolk inspiration. 🌊

This morning started with a networking meeting in Felixstowe, catching up with other local businesses and exploring potential opportunities for collaboration.

Afterwards, I took the chance to visit two places that have become very special parts of the Sal’s Soapary story:

⚓ The Longshed, Woodbridge – home of the incredible Sutton Hoo Ship’s Company, where traditional boatbuilding skills help bring our Anglo-Saxon heritage to life.

🌾 The Tide Mill, Woodbridge – where I popped in to check soap supplies and see how things are going with Milled by the Tide, the exclusive soap inspired by this beautiful historic landmark and made using wheat germ meal from the mill.

Days like today remind me why I love creating Suffolk-inspired products. Every place has a story, and those stories often become the inspiration behind the soaps, bath salts and gifts you see on my stall.

It’s not always about making products – sometimes it’s about meeting people, building relationships, gathering ideas and checking in with the wonderful local organisations that support small businesses like mine.

Now it’s time to head back to the soap room and put some of that inspiration to work!
