Morning gorgeous ones…it may only be October but we all know how time is a disappointing commodity and given that the build up to Christmas is my favourite time and can’t be hurried, I’m already fully immersed. It’s a time for taking time to make, plan, create something colourful and celebratory…I’m going all out colour this year. Morning beautiful people 🥰
I’m looking to some of my favourite past colour combinations for inspiration for my handmade Christmas retreat. I’m also making a lot of the decorations myself this year…my retreat is for people to make things but I feel as much of the decorations should also be handmade, so I’m on it this year. There will be 2 tablescapes for my guests to sit at and of course, loads of colour 🎄🎄🎄
Remember my exuberant autumn tablescape which was a bit controversial? It was just after one of our photoshoots and I had some beautiful (unworn!) shoes on the table waiting to be put away. The colours were perfect so I incorporated them into the floral runner.
The shoes were bought on Vinted and I’m a big fan. All sorts of gems can be found on there. Are you a fan? What were you most excited about finding on Vinted?

Oooh I love a bit of vintage music! Morning folks, finalising my paper decs workshop and vision boarding for my Handmade Christmas retreat in a few weeks. Super excited to be back in that beautiful Norfolk barn in a field with some fabulous women, a ton of decorations and makes! Love spending time with these beautiful women and getting creative and festive! It is my favourite time of the year, full of colour and creativity.
I don’t do traditional colours at Christmas and I love seeing Christmas through a different colour palette…

I absolutely loved creating Bec’s flowers. Her brief was my perfect wedding, a bouquet adorned with double sided silk ribbons by Little Acorn Silks, small bridesmaids posies, some buttonholes, wrist corsages and a top table arrangement, all in hot pink and orange! 🩷🧡 And photographed by that gorgeous pair VIMA Photography | Suffolk Photographers 🧡🩷

How was this in October?! I’m so ready for the cooler weather after that summer!
We had a bit of fun up at The Southwold Flower Co. with brilliant Caroline Horne Suffolk Photography
It was good to get my machine out and pattern test the for Faith - Slow fashion dressmaker Faith - sewing pattern maker using some perfect pink linen I picked up last year in Hadleigh and using two gorgeous Kaffe Fassett Studio floral prints Meadow and Baroque Floral. I look forward to making the next one in a berry check with a v neck for my retreat.
The meadow was at its peak with cosmos, zinnias and much more. The dahlias were insane!! Thank you so much to Liz and for having us 🌸
My Christmas workshops are selling well so please don’t wait to book as numbers are very limited 🎄

Join me at cosy Mollie Grinyer-Power for a few hours of festive making, time well spent creating something in the run up to Christmas.
A wreath for your door (or anywhere!), a tree fairy for the top of your (or someone else’s) tree, handmade personalised table crackers (I keep mine on the tree until they’re required. Fill them with something personal for each guest or just stuff full of nice chocolates…or a lottery ticket!
Small, friendly classes on the edge of Framlingham. No experience needed and I will guide you through each stage…my favourite time of the year, I love the build up, the making, the treats, the time with people you love…preferably making or decorating something 🥰
If you’d love a colourful, joyful festive celebration this season, come and join me. Bring your mum/sister/friend or just yourself…makes a great gift 🎄🎄🎄
