A little sunshine for our Californian project
We’re installing these beautiful curtains in a bright and sunny primary bedroom, where the colours outside have become an important part of the room’s palette.
installed the Distinction track in the wonderfully apt colourway, Californian Gold, before hanging the pinch-pleat curtains. Jenna then carefully steamed the velvet to remove every crease and dressed each curtain into its pleats, adding ties to help train them into their perfect shape.
The fabric is a sumptuous velvet in Argent — a beautifully soft, sophisticated tone that sits perfectly against the warmth of the gold. Together, they draw in the changing colours of the maple tree just outside the window, allowing the golden and autumnal tones beyond to become part of the interior.
It’s always those finishing touches — the steaming, dressing and patience — that make all the difference.
