PROUD MUMMY MOMENT!

Sarah (our daughter) ran a 10k in Edinburgh yesterday and finished 4th female home and 22nd out of 131 overall.

This is only her 2nd 10k, and the last one was October 2025, so she was justifiably proud of herself.

Well done to Sarah and her friend Kirsty.

Got to be one of the prettiest medals I’ve ever seen.

We had a fabulous afternoon with Pip at Gullane beach today.

He loves the wide open spaces of the beach and will just run snd run.

Then there’s the rocks. He’s as nimble as a mountain goat.

Needless to say he has slept a lot since then. 💤

LOVELY LITTLE NOOK!

A lovely lady from the Dalkeith area had this beautiful ornate mirror for some time, I believe she brought it home from abroad. It was rather tired, with little broken bits and hardly any back to keep the mirror in place.

She brought it to Sadie's Shed hoping we could do something with it. After some repairs and preparation we painted it in Wedding Cake, a soft white, and highlighted it in gold. The back was replaced and it looked beautiful once more.

She also chose this chair from our storage area and it was painted to match. It received gold highlights on some of the edges and two little gold birds on the back.

When they are all put together with this beautiful table, pillows, throw and the gorgeous orchid it just all looks perfect. What a beautiful little area to make in your home.

ANOTHER £450 DONATED TO
KIDNEY CARE UK

After a very busy August we have been able to donate £450 to Kidney Care UK.

My thanks go to everyone who has had furniture upcycled in Sadie's Shed this month and for your payments.

A couple of you payed over the asking price and this has been passed on to Kidney Care Uk along with our donation. Another donation was also included. Thank you everyone.

WORKSHOP WEDNESDAY

In the workshop this week we have an oak chest of drawers for a lady from Gatehouse-of-Fleet and a pair of bedsides for a lady from Galashiels.

Coincidentally, they both want their furniture painted in the colour, Stormy. It’s a lovely grey with lilac undertones.

Everything has been cleaned and sanded and now has had its first coat of paint. All is going well and hopefully they will be finished by the weekend. 🤞

What is the best way to get rid of duplicate photos on my iPhone?

At one point I started going through photos and deleting them 1 by 1 until I got sick of it.

4 days later I was quite chuffed with myself so I synced my phone with my iPad to get take all those photos off my iPad. The opposite happened - the iPad put them all back on to my phone!

So I need to remove them from my iPhone AND my iPad.

Please give me advice if you can.
