Unfortunately, I feel I need to write a serious post regarding non-payment of orders.
Many of you know that I have always been happy to take payment once an item has been made and is ready for collection. However, on several occasions this has left me out of pocket when orders have not been paid for.
As a small business, I simply cannot afford to spend money creating custom and personalised items, only for them to be left unpaid, uncollected and myself ignored.
Before my recent holiday, I went out of my way at very short notice to complete an order for a customer. It has now been over two weeks, and the order remains unpaid and uncollected. As it was a personalised item, I cannot resell it or reuse the materials.
I always do my best to keep my prices affordable and often spend hours designing custom items without charging extra for my time. I'm always happy to help and will go above and beyond to make sure the products I create meet my customer’s requirements.
What many people don't see is the amount of work, time, and expense that goes on behind the scenes of running a small business. On countless occasions, I have dropped everything to complete urgent same-day orders for customers.
All I ask in return is that my time, effort, and business are respected.
Please don't be offended if I ask for payment upfront on future orders. Unfortunately, I can no longer sustain the losses caused by unpaid custom work.
Thank you to all of my wonderful customers who continue to support my small business—it is genuinely appreciated.
