I have been poorly so had the day off work and did some spinning. I have had this braid for 4 years, it is a bit felted as I didn't know ywt how to handle it when dying, but it spun lovely. I hope I get to ply it soon!
It will end up a for my little boy, all the other fibre is spun and ready, this is the last bit!

So I dyed this yarn on 2 October 2021 on episode 36 of come dye with me. Last week I saw it in my stash and though my toddler would look amazing in a sweater made from it and the pooling would be so cool. I was right! I knit him the FlaxLighy by , which is one of my favourite patterns. It is just a classic and you can modify it to suit your taste. As Luke has 4 other Flax jumpers with a (6th on the kneedles right now - honestly Im obsessed!) with the sdandard sleeve I thought Id modify this one and do two braids on each sleave. I love it and he does too, the colours really apeal to him.

It is day 17 of the knitting in december challenge by and here is the big project reveal! I have started to knit the North Star Dress by Novita. This is a free pattern from their website and try as I can I could not get my hands on any Novita yarn to actually knit this with as they do not ship to the UK and I could not find a supplier here in the UK that had the specific weight and colours I needed. So Yarnsmiths it is - and oh my is their sock yarn lush and soft and squishy!!

My colours are burgundy with cream, camel,and some beige. The idea is that it is going to be my Christmas dress for next year! Wish me good luck!

Day 13 of Knitting in December fundraising for and I have nearly finished the for my little man! His official Oxford United is too big for him still but he LOVES it and wants is to sing a football chant for him every time he sees it so I thought why not make him his custom and unique OUFC hat! It toom some designing on excel and sone calculations but here it is and I am so proud! I will show the finished item once it is blocked and has its pom pom too!
