American field made stool
Kate likes to call it her Frankenstool, we had some old lids that had warped slightly so Kate decided to make a stool like the would have made in the field, made to look as if it has been made from crate sections, made with solid pine and slot headed screws, solid but also it comes apart so it can be flat packed.

Ww2 American wooden cooker box.
A custom cooker box for a customer, we were requested to make a copy of an original cardboard ration box, this one is a new one for us. Not something I would eat but the customer is always right 😊.
If you have a custom request please drop us a message.

So this weekend is Eden Camp Modern History Museum 1940s weekend. You can find us there for our last trading show of the season (where has the year gone?) It's going to be a great weekend, sunshine forecast too! 🌞

There's a shuttle bus running between the museum and Pickering.

Pre ww2 era French mortar charge box.
Kate has been busy this afternoon thicknessing wood to get it to the exact thickness as the originals. We like to get our items as close as we can to the original, so sometime you have to go that little bit furtherto ensurethat we do. Thankyou to Bob for lending us his original box to enable us to get the correct thickness wood, dimensions etc. These boxes are made from alot thinner timber than the standard thickness that we can buy so it is a case of us having to do it. Only part way through but these will be finished tomorrow.
The last picture is the difference between our timer and the original thickness.

*** Gone collected ****

We made 10 boxes for a TV production overseas which ultimately couldn't be collected in time. We can now offer these for sale. They may be of particular interest to Polish or Russian collectors. They are large boxes, two different sizes. Located in East Yorkshire
