Buttons….

Along time ago, I sorted all my buttons by colour, and put them into storage jars.

And I am always on the look out for new and exciting craft ideas to use up some of my button stash.

This week I had finally got around to making myself a little button flower bouquet.

I of course got the idea from as they had made one from an old glass pepper pot which has been displayed in the shop.

Anyway I found this lovely tiny glass vase from a charity shop, got some wire and finally got around to making my own button bouquet, and I love it and it’s now sitting proudly in my yarn barn window 🥰

So to all the button lovers out there, I would love to know what you make with your button stash ?

Another WIP finished … yay go me 😆

This one is the Mandala Bag from one of the crochet society boxes which I finished back in December 25, however I felt that it needed a bit of lining and a little security, so it’s been sitting in my WIP pile for a bit as I wasn’t quite sure what I was going to secure it with.

I did try a zip with lining but I mucked that up as my sewing skills needs improvement so on my second attempt i redone the lining and added a lovely button Instead 🥰

Anyway very pleased to have another bag fully finished and my WIP pile is getting a little lighter 🥰

Well I have started the Hooked On Homemade Happiness Crochet Along where we are crocheting 1 hat a week over 10 weeks.

The hats will then be donated to a charity of our choosing and mine will be going to a local charity called RBKares - Supporting the Community that collect hats and scalves in readiness for the winter season for those in need in our area 🥰

I have finished another old WIP today …yay and even got my sewing machine out !! Go me !

So I don’t know if you remember but back in July 2025 last year I made a hexy cardigan to go with my very brightly coloured heart popsy dress and with the left over yarn I decided to make a bag.

Well I did do all the crochet bit quite quickly but then i thought it really needed lining, so it’s been sat there for pretty much a whole year !

Today I actually did the lining and finished the bag to go with my dress and hexy cardigan !

I think this is going to be my outfit this year for .festival 😆

Anyway I am absolutely thrilled I have completed another old WIP.

The wool sale in the cabin Whichcraft Wools is still going ahead. But the mini craft market won’t be due to the weather 🥲.

It’s Finish Friday and this week I did a small commision for Whichcraft Wools

All I was given was a photo to replicate a Ladies style hat, so I searched online to find the style of hat which I think looked similar to the photo and the cloche style hat is what I thought was a very good match.

I found a free pattern by to help me get the shaping of the hat 🥰

The Yarn for the hat was Dalesway Chunky and then I surface crocheted around the bottom and added a lovely flower and voila the cloche hat was completed 🧶🥰

I was very chuffed at how this came out.
