Florence appreciation post 🙌❤️

It’s feels slightly ridiculous to think that I first saw Florence live in 2008, when she supported MGMT at the Liquid Rooms in Edinburgh. A few months later she was playing the tiny Cabaret Voltaire to a crowd of around 40 people.

I recently found my old £6.50 ticket stub… £6.50! 😂

Quite something to have watched that journey from those tiny Edinburgh gigs to where she is now.

Although, at some point she did abandon me for Taylor Swift… so I’m not sure how I feel about that 🤷‍♀️😂

I was in my absolute element immersed in Ai Weiwei’s extraordinary Button Up! exhibition at Aviva Studios, Factory International in Manchester.

I also spent several hours watching Sewing a Button - Ai Weiwei’s powerful 24-hour live performance recreating the conditions of his 81-day secret detention by the Chinese authorities.

I came away with plenty to think about... and, unfortunately, the full-blown lurgy 🤒 🤦‍♀️
