I create handmade picky pads designed to support calm, focus, and emotional regulation 💛
Each one is carefully made with a mix of beads and textures to create a satisfying “pick and pull” experience - perfect for keeping hands busy and minds settled 🫧
As a SEN teacher, I use picky pads within my classroom to support regulation, focus, and moments of overwhelm - and I’ve seen first-hand how engaging and helpful they can be for children who need something for their hands ✨
They can be especially helpful for:
✨ children who struggle to sit still or focus
✨ long car journeys or quiet time 🚗
✨ redirecting skin picking or fidgeting habits
✨ calming moments when feeling overwhelmed
Each pad includes a mix of easier and more challenging pieces, so the experience stays engaging and rewarding - there’s always something to work at, but also those little “wins” along the way 💫
💡 Please note:
Picky pads are an activity-based product, not a permanent one. The enjoyment comes from the picking process, and once all pieces are removed, the pad has been fully used.
